"I was extremely disappointed in the service I received last weekend. I set a reservation 10 days in advance. I had a couple of friends visiting from Kentucky, they had never been to Chicago.We arrived 15 minutes early from our reservation to a sign crudely written on the door they were closed for a private party. Waiting for a few minutes, someone noticed us and opened the door. They let us in when I told them we had reservations. After ordering a drink and appetizer, at a minimum, 30 minutes go by before they return to take dinner orders. After placing them, another 30 minutes pass until the server returned with our check and said the food should be out shortly. After paying, probably 10 minutes go by and we finally receive our food. Well, my friends did. Mine didn’t come out for another 10 minutes. All of our food was ice cold, except for my French fries, which clearly were still raw for the most part. During this, they were tearing down the entire restaurant to make space for this party that was going to happen, so we were the only table left standing while we awkwardly ate our poorly cooked food while they stared and wanted us to finish so we would leave.I had been here a few times before and loved it, but this was so disappointing to bring guests here and receive this level of service. Will have to think twice again before coming back."
