"To give you some context, I was already in a bad mood before heading to Dunkin'. While trying to find my order details on my phone, I had to get out of my car and go into the store. Apparently, for pickup orders—which I was unfamiliar with since I don't usually order this way—you need to go inside to collect your food.
When I first approached the young man at the drive-thru window, he informed me that my order wasn’t ready. After that, I went to the DoorDash pickup area only to discover that my order hadn’t even been started, despite receiving a text saying it was ready and having an email confirmation. I took out my frustration on the young man, which was unfair, as he hadn’t done anything wrong. I was already upset for other reasons, and with everything piling up, I ended up being rude to him.
I must say, though, he was very professional. After realizing my bagel order hadn't gone through and that I had to wait for it to be prepared, I finally took a moment to apologize to him. When I did, I saw his name tag—Smiley. How ironic! I had been rude to someone named Smiley.
So, I give Smiley a solid 5 stars for his service, while my overall experience with the online order and pickup gets 3 stars. While I appreciated that my sandwich was made fresh when I finally got it, it wasn’t hot. On a positive note, Dunkin' Donuts was clean, and it appeared that the crew worked well together."
