"I would love to know this restaurant’s story. It was hard to find; hidden behind other retailers. It confused the heck out of Google Maps. It was just the type of locally owned, comfortable atmosphere, full service, AND DELICIOUS, restaurant we’ve been looking for since moving to the Indianapolis area. Great Italian food. Gluten free bread and pasta offered, which is such a surprise! A hidden gem on Indy’s north west side."

"We were sat promptly. Our waiter, Alex, was really great. Our experience with the table staff was very good. The food was OK but I felt it was overpriced. I was disappointed with the wine by the glass selection. Alex was kind enough to bring me the two chardonnays by the glass for me to taste but neither was to my liking. You can bring your own bottle of wine but there is a $50.00 corkage fee. While I can't say enough about how great the staff was, I just didn't feel my meal was worth the price."

"The food was absolutely mouth-watering and truly authentic Italian. The quality of the dishes here is definitely on par with a three-star Michelin restaurant. I ordered the Veal Piccata, which wasn’t on the menu, but they were more than happy to accommodate my request. It was even better than what I had in Chicago, which is known for some of the best Italian restaurants in the country. A true test of any Italian place is their fresh cannoli, and they nailed it here. The servers were friendly, and the background music added to the overall experience, making it much more than just a meal. Fantastic job!"

"When we arrived the restaurant was basically empty and the hostess led us to a table next to the kitchen. I asked if we could have a different table and she responded that next time I should make a note requesting we not be seated by the kitchen and she promptly dropped our menus on the table and departed. The table was set for four so for several minutes the server was reaching across the table collecting dishes, glasses and silverware while I looked at his armpit. It was very awkward and uncomfortable. We have eaten many times at Amore and always found it had a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately this experience was off to a bad start and after watching the food go back and forth from the kitchen and having two servers have a rather heated discussion two feet away from us we did not enjoy this experience. We will be back again before the theatre but will definitely include notes in the reservation."
