"I love this restaurant! that was my second time here and it was just as good as the first time. the staff is so friendly and helpful! the bartender is delicious and makes great cocktails. eating is delicious. I had the sea bass with a light lemon sauce. it was perfectly cooked and was moist and delicious. my man had the chicken cacciator and he said it was the best he ever had. we were friends and they loved their choices too."

"We came in for my husbands birthday. We had an reservation and were seated in the bar area upon our arrival. Both my husband and I chose to do the course meal. Everything was fine with our appetizer round. We then moved on to pasta. My husband was served his pasta nearly minutes before mine came out. We then waited minutes between the pasta and our main course. When our steaks arrived, mine was perfect. I had nice slices of steak. My husband received a plate with two very small slices of steak and a slice of fat and gristle. We had asked a floor manager if they could sent our waitress over when she had a moment. The manager asked how they could help and we commented on the difference in the plates and mentioned we had wait over two hours for our second and third courses and were a bit disappointed in his portion size for the price. The response from said manager? Well what do you want me to do about it? We then spoke to our waitress who brought over a second manager. This manager said they would fire up some more steak for my husband. minutes go by and we asked our waitress when the steak would be coming..at this point my food was cold from trying to wait for my poor husband. Our waitress checked with the kitchen and they hadn’t even started on the extra steak yet! We said to forget it and we would just move on to dessert. We had mentioned several times that it was my husbands birthday. This was supposed to be a special night celebrating but it was overall a huge disappointment. When you are spending plus dollars on a meal you shouldn’t have to wait hours or be served a sad plate of steak. The lack of concern from both managers and the poor customer experience makes us not want to come back."

"This was our first time dining at this local favorite. The Caprese salad and gorgonzola ravioli were fantastic. All was fresh, custom prepared, and tasted fabulous. All the seats were taken, and there seemed to be enough waitstaff, but all were working very hard, and the service suffered a little, possibly due to the hectic evening. Drinks took some time to arrive, and getting a knife for the second course almost didn't happen—we were almost done by the time the server checked on us after the kitchen staff delivered the meals. We were never asked if we wanted grated cheese, which I assume they had to offer."

"We came in bundled up because it was 12 degrees. We were made aware of their dress code but allowed to keep beanies scarves and coats until we warmed up. Server was very knowledgeable about the whole menu and helped with understanding entree’s since everything was in Italian. The wagu meatballs were amazing but small. I had the agnolotti piscatti and the pasta was really good in flavor."

"My favorite restaurant in New York and my weekly must do. I am always greeted by the owner and treated with respect and graciousness. The waiters treat me with one on one service. The food is delicious and you can adjust the menu to add other ingredients. At some point Mario the owner will sit with you and ask how your meal is? "When we arrived the restaurant was not very busy maybe five or six tables. Our server finally appeared. The wait for salad was way too long and the entrée took almost 30 minutes to arrive. At that point, most of the tables were gone. We FINALLY flagged the waiter down and got our check. I would recommend Basta Pasta to my friends if they had a LOT OF TIME TO KILL. We have been going there for years this was the worst."

"The service, wine and food were fabulous. It started with the antipasto coming to the table when we were seated along with the bread and olive oil which was so delicious really nice. Mom I wanted to split our food to two plates so we could enjoy multiple courses and the kitchen split them for us. First course was a stuffed artichoke, second course was lobster ravioli, third course was a veal dish which was tender and had great flavor. We ended with the lemon sorbet and 2 spoons, it was such a nice presentation in a lemon which had been hollowed out, stuffed with sorbet and frozen. I really can not recall a more attentive wait staff. The price was high for me being from Oregon but not high for NYC. It was a great first experience in the city."

"Shame on Open Table. We have loved this restaurant, made a reservation for a birthday celebration, and arrived to find the restaurant closed and the contents liquidated. NO ONE CALLED. Luckily we contacted another restaurant who accommodated the party and we moved that location, albeit having a much later celebration that night. Someone should have called to let us know that the restaurant was no more and Open Table should have known this... Makes me question how well you stay in touch with your restaurants. Now you contact me to have me rate this closed restaurant. Please get your act together."

"I had high hopes for Suburban but it fell flat. The menus were very hard to read. The service was a bit slow. The food was overly salted. I did enjoy the one cider they had on draft but wish there was more than just the one. We probably will try all the other restaurants on our list before going back unfortunately."
