"A friend and I took another buddy out for a birthday sushi dinner, and surprisingly, it was my first time visiting this place despite having tried many other local sushi restaurants. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it definitely surpassed my expectations. The restaurant is larger than I anticipated, featuring several teppanyaki tables, which I didn’t realize they had. However, our focus was on sushi, so we headed straight to the sushi bar. Having been to numerous sushi bars, I consider myself quite familiar with sushi menus, but this one really impressed me. The variety is immense! It's hard to adequately describe the menu, but you'll find countless options – whether you're looking for nigiri, sashimi, rolls, cooked items, raw selections, or combo plates. This extensive range is great for catering to different tastes, but it could also be a bit overwhelming for someone new to sushi. In terms of flavor, I was really pleased with everything we ordered, especially the spicy tuna nigiri. We didn't try a wide range of dishes since my two friends are still getting accustomed to sushi, but everything we had was delicious. I've promised to bring my girlfriend here next time, and we're excited to explore more of the menu. A nice perk is that for just $1, you can get fresh wasabi, which is a rare find. One minor disappointment was that miso soup or salad wasn’t included with our selections; they are available but only with combo plates. The service was outstanding! I learned that the owner, who is Japanese, is committed to making this the only sushi bar in Greensboro owned by Japanese proprietors. She kept us entertained and laughing throughout our meal. Plus, when she discovered we were celebrating a birthday, she carved a pineapple into a Hawaiian-style canoe for our dessert at no extra charge. In terms of value, the prices are about standard for a sushi bar, if not slightly better. For the three of us, with a couple of rounds of beer each, our total came to $83, and we really enjoyed our meal. I will definitely be returning, and I'll provide an update on my next visit! **Food: 9/10, Service: 10/10, Value: 8/10, Atmosphere: 7/10**"

"Absolutely terrible! I used to love this place many years ago but literally everything has gone downhill. Tried this place again after not coming here for a few years due to the bad food and nothing has changed. My first bite of food was their soup and after chewing a bit, I discovered a sharp square of plastic. I kept this to myself thinking it was only my soup until the rest of my party of 20 spoke up with over 8 people saying they had plastic in their soup as well in varying sizes. We let two staff members know and all we were offered was a replacement soup (which we declined) and no apology. They also said they needed proof and came and took away all the plastic that we just pulled out of our mouths in their bare hands. They gave the excuse of the it “falling from the ceiling” which definitely wasn’t the cause…. There was also a constant leak of some unknown substance coming from the hood of the grill. Chicken was terrible per usual, super chewy and looked almost fake. Floors were slick due to the grim on them and then entire place just looked and felt dirty. They charged $10 for us to bring and serve cakes that we brought from the store. At the end of the meal I requested that the price of the soups be taken off the bill, the waitress I spoke to I guess didn’t understand so I requested she ask the waiter but I never saw the waiter and the price was never removed from the bill. I paid, left, wrote this review to warn people from this terrible establishment, and will never be returning there again."
