"We were staying at the Holiday Inn nearby. My wife ordered Thai food from a restaurant on the same street and had me walk down the hill to pick it up for her. I wasn't in the mood for Thai and decided to pick something up from Bamboo. I was glad I did. I walked in and looked at their lunch menu. I ordered a combination lunch special... Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken, and white rice. I could have had chow mein or fried rice instead of white rice. Based on how great the food tasted, I regret not getting it with chow mein, . The lunch special even came with and egg roll and soup (egg drop soup or hot sour soup). Unlike back home, they even gave the soup when getting take out. This was a nice surprise. I chose the hot sour soup. I had no complaints about any of my choices. All were delicious. The Kung Pao looked a little different than I am used to, it was tender sliced chicken and I am used to chucks or cubes of chicken. It had a very good sauce and I like it a lot. The Orange chicken was wonderful. It also looks a bit different than I am used to as the sauce was a little dark and it had thin slices of orange peel nested in the sauce. None the less, it was great., maybe the best I ever had. The egg roll was still crisp when I got it back to the room. And the soup was pretty good. A nice touch was a big wedge of orange in the container. They gave me two fortune cookies and two sets of plastic wear. An added bonus, I was served tea while waiting for my order. The place is small and not a fancy place, but the tea gave this place a touch of class. The price was very reasonable too. In short... I was very happy I went to Bamboo. If I had another day in San Francisco, I would have probably gotten food from here again. But would have tried the chow mein with the lunch special. The walk back up the hill was the only thing I didn't enjoy about this excursion. I am old, out of shape, and not built for hills."

"I am going to this assessment with the fact that my family at joe often dinates. as one or two times a month, we do not make the journey of san jose a problem. joe’s is my family tradition and will continue to be. but this visit has prompted me to leave a review as I was always used to improve the food and service. not so much last night. they were all small things that were added to a bad visit. here is the sequence of the misses in no particular order of the positive 9:45 reserve event 9:20-seated 9:35-nice. 1. 15 minutes are waiting for contact to order 2. the margarita the wife came with a sugar rim instead of a salt rim 3. instead of two 4. did not bring the spoon after the second clam Chowder-just was thrown off by the chowder without asking if everything is good 5. a place where the fork in our group is missing. 6. Drinks were served shortly before main dishes, not in the usual contemporary wise. we can say the drinks for a past. 7. Spaghetti side had dried/hard noodles mixed in-that was the problem that prompted me to leave the review. we can deal with a late arriving spoon and fork, but the center of joe’s menu cannot be underpar. 8. bathroom unattended. no toilet paper in the women's stable. men are running over with paper towels. we could say that the crew has run off a busy night. that was cleared and closed when we had our meal. Maybe next time I have to make an earlier reservation. Joes vibe was all wrong on this."

"This was truly the worst dining experience of my life, and I dine out a lot. To be fair, it was their Easter buffet, not the usual dining, so your results may vary. Upon entering, we were barely greeted but brought to our large table. It was a table for eight though we were a party of four, so it was very awkward but compared to the food, that part was nothing. Despite it being an 11am reservation, this was not brunch food but rather only dinner type of food. Everything looked incredibly unappetizing. The vegetables were green beans and corn that had to have been from cans. They were swimming in a weird liquid and looked inedible. There was mashed potatoes and stuffing that seemed ok, along with turkey, some sort of pulled beef, and possibly ham. There were two kinds of gravy, both congealed looking despite it being the first reservation of the day. I tried the turkey, beef, potatoes, stuffing, and the light gravy. The potatoes and stuffing were ok, the meat was exceedingly dry. I could barely cut the turkey. There was also fruit salad which was partially frozen yet mushy at the same time. My family, who usually will eat any dessert item, did not find the selection appealing. Even the rolls were bad. The salad was iceberg lettuce plus a bunch of difficult to identify mayo-soaked slaws of various sorts. Even the coffee was undrinkable. They brought us the check almost immediately and included an automatic gratuity that was not advertised. After not eating more than a few bites of anything, we paid the check and left. It was clear that we were very dissatisfied, yet no one inquired a single time. The manager who barely greeted us was at the door as we left and said nothing, not even a goodbye. This cost us $115 for a few bites of mashed potatoes, a couple of dry rolls, and some flat soda for my daughter. The fact that no one inquired as to our experience was definitely the worst part."

"Nice enough people, I suppose. But prices are not competitive. When you enter the shop, you will be amazed with the huge selection. Don't look at the prices! I'll do a public service and give BevMo instructions. I'm all for small shops, but it shouldn't be twice as expensive. I called today to get a comment, they refused."

"This place never disappoints!!! We chose to sit outside as the weather was beautiful. The server was phenomenal helping us make our choice every step of the way. She was on point. The tortilla soup was great. Even the salad mixes had great flavor and was large. I ordered pork tacos on bib lettuce and my friend had shrimp and grits which she loved. The guacamole was outstanding! We loved everything. It’s now our”go to “ restaurant!!"

"I discovered this restaurant at the hotel and was thrilled to find out that it stays open until 10 a.m. The pizza was quite good, and the paprika salad with salmon was excellent! I would say it's a great reason to choose this Hilton for your stay."

"Food always good. Service a bit discombobulated like where was our server to start out??? Once the servers got themselves organized as to who was on what tables then the service went up a notch. We like Edgar’s as the food is very good and in the past service has been excellent so hopefully this evening’s service was just a hiccup!"

"You have a few vegetarian options- veggie burgers and sushi that can be changed to be vegan. I recently got the sushi. It was okay. It had a lot of vegetables, which was nice. I wish the restaurant had more vegan options. Currently the only vegan item on the brunch menu is Guacamole Taro root chips on the appetizer menu that is not designed to be a full meal."

"We visited this establishment on Tuesday 7 November for dinner due to a $60 comp. We were seated right away. It took awhile to get our beverage order. After that everything flowed. I ordered the patty melt and my wife got the mushroom Swiss burger both were $20.99 each. The order didn’t take long and the food was hot especially the fries which had a nice crispy texture which I usually judge while eating first. Our server kept checking on us. On the way out we saw a back seating area which is more appealing if you don’t care for the smoke which I would of preferred. We wished we would of shared as there was plenty of food and it always gives another option to try another place if sharing."

"we have selected this restaurant by great reviews. we were not disappointed, the lunch was very good. it was very quiet as it was after lunch on a weekday. we chose the smoked trout spread appetizer quite a large portion (top for a escape for one,) so good! it came with rosemary crackers and plucked wobbles that were the perfect companion. my man chose the burger with sweet potato friries. it was cooked on its request, tender, juicy, delicious. the sweet potato friars were some of the best we ever had. I added the rocket salad with roasted chicken. salat was wonderfully fresh, simple enough dressing, and the fried chicken was excellent crispy, but delicately moist. service was good, though it either seemed distracted or new? very nice in any case, it didn't hurt eating! next time we'll come back in this area of asheville."

"This was my first time dining at this restaurant, and it will likely be my last. We went for lunch. It wasn 't busy at all, yet our orders took over 45 minutes to arrive. I had the express lunch of a fried chicken breast. Greasy, dry, and not hot. Another person in my party had the cheeseburger, and she didn 't finish it. She said it looked great, but it was dry and cold. I wonder if our plates sat for a while. The server, while pleasant, did not check in on us frequently, and we had to wait a bit to place our order, then later we had to find her to inquire about our meals. She then apologized and mentioned a party placed an order right before us. Seems like a strange excuse as restaurants should be able to handle more than two orders at a time. I had somewhat high expectations as the restaurant seems to have good reviews. Maybe it was an off day, but for the prices, I 'm not sure I 'd risk another meal there."

"When we first walked in, the service was sluggish; the waitress was distracted on her phone. After placing our orders, my wife received the wrong meal. She didn’t realize it until she had already added condiments to a chicken sandwich, thinking it was a hamburger. She decided to just eat the sandwich anyway. They also forgot the fries. The water tasted as if it had come straight from a muddy puddle. I found the fish and chips to be mediocre at best. The fries were served cold, and there were no condiments like salt, pepper, or ketchup on the table. We tried to make the best of it, but when we were settling the bill, another server brought out the correct order and asked if we had already eaten. After explaining the confusion, she merely offered to let us take the extra meal home since they were planning to throw it away."

"Elise our server was amazing!!! The food was tasty and hot. The vegetable cannelloni was to die for. Chicken Parm was huge. The burrata caprece salad was very tasty too. The fried calamari was very light and flavorful."

"Dinner was very disappointing, especially at the price. Order the salmon and served in a bowl. Not only was the outer edge of the bowl very hot, the whole sauce centered in the bottom of the bowl. It was very difficult to eat like that. It was also very bland. I added salt and pepper, but it didn't change very much. My husband Steak was good, but the presentation of a steak and plop potatoes on dish for $42 was inconspicuous. Finally, servers gathered around folding napkins, I mean 4-6 of them to chat. It was all about disappointingly sad to say how we liked this place. A total of 120$ was in front of the top. Was it so long? ve really felt it wasn't worth eating out, but today it was."
