"Shannon is like Ireland without a 10 hour flight. Cosy Irish pub for 20 years in downtown Glen Ellyn. The homemade maize beef and chips are Fabuloucity. Our server Ashley was funny and her smile set the tone for a great afternoon/night. Add a Guinness and you have the recipe for Irish dishes. The menu is as extraordinary as the hand poured liberations."

"Used to be a huge fan of this place. Great drinks and a few years ago they saved me from a bad and aggressive date.. was a huge fan of their sister location near Union Square. Poor service 30+ minutes to take an order at 3pm on a Saturday because I'm not a 20-something basic Betty from FIT. $20 Drink was more tonic with hardly any gin. No straw was served with the drink. "SO I HAVE BEEN TO THE FLYING PIG A FEW TIMES BEFORE, USUALLY FOR DRINKS. THEY HAVE A HUGE VARIETY OF BEER! I DECIDED TO HAVE A BIRTHDAY BRUNCH AT THIS PLACE, AND I HAD A PARTY OF 20 PEOPLE. THE SERVICE COULDN'T HAVE BEEN BETTER. I HAVE NOTHING AT ALL TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. THE SERVER JOSE WAS SUPER ATTENTIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND ON TOP OF EVERYTHING. MY GUESTS HAD A GREAT TIME. EVERYONE WAS HAPPY! THIS EXPERIENCE DEFINITELY EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. ALSO, DECLAN CALLED ME A FEW TIMES TO CONFIRM MY RESERVATION AND TO SEE IF I HAD ANY QUESTIONS. "Great family restaurant with superb service. The ribs are fantastic as is the meatloaf. Everything is scratch made. They have some unique menu items like escargot and 'duck tenders ' so it 's definitely worth a try. Sometimes I stop by just for an order of their creamy coleslaw which is made to order, and I 'm addicted to it! The only thing I didn 't like was the Turkey Club I ordered to go. When I got home it was a surprise to see it was a Turkey sandwich on a hot dog bun."
