"I wanted to like this place, the sushi/roll was fine and the tempura was okay as well (nothing special but alright for the price) but I ordered an oyakodon and got something that was totally not that.Oyakodon is one of my favorite rice bowl orders at a Japanese restaurant so I know it is usually a breaded cutlet or katsu sitting on a saucy scrambled egg with onion scallion. They served me a pan-seared boneless chicken thigh with a side of cabbage, carrot and radish and a fried egg on top — no sauce either. I was so confused when I got it that I couldn’t even complain. I thought to myself, maybe this is a different type of oyakodon? But as I was eating I also Googled what an oyakodon is just to confirm and there is NOTHING that looks like what I was served. It honestly did not even taste close to any other oyakodon I’d ever eaten. Truly confused, it felt like they didn’t even know their own menu item and maybe hastily searched what an oyakodon was. It would hVe been alright with me if the meal was flavorful but it just didn’t taste like much else than barely seasoned grilled chicken and veggies. I personally hate food waste so I took 2 bites and packed the rest because from the first strange bite I decided I would just turn it into a fried rice at home.On top of that, the service was pretty lackluster. I’m not asking for much but no one ever refilled our waters despite eating there for at least 30-40 mins (this is a big service industry no-no) and it was difficult to get anyone’s attention at all for even asking for the check. I have experience in both a professional kitchen setting and the food service industry and was honestly disappointed."

"Was driving home from visiting a friend in the hospital, looking for some American food to eat when I passed Ringer Hut. I pulled a U turn and turned into the driveway, pulled out my phone and looked to my Yelp app to see what kind of “American” food they had. To my surprise, Ringer Hut is an Asian restaurant? What? Well I’m game, so I walked in. As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted and sat at a booth. I told the server that this was my first time in and would like a recommendation on one of there Ramen soups. She asked me if I had any food allergies? “I thought to myself that that was very thoughtful” it caught me off guard, no one ever asked me that before, I said no. So she recommended the Chashu Ramen. 10 minuets after ordering, this beautiful bowl of ramen showed up on my table with fantastic tasting beef, perfectly cook noodles and a 1/2 an egg. I added some hot oil that just gave it that little extra something something “ if you know what I mean” After dinner I ordered there Green tea heaven. It comes in a wine glass and is layered with green tea ice cream on the bottom, special K “I think” cereal in the center, green tea pudding “or flan” on top with whip cream and some kind of ganache like substance on top “ in a ball” Can’t say I’ve ever had anything quite like it. It was lightly sweet creamy and crunchy all at the same time C: The service was really good, my only comment would be that table condiments bottles were oily and slightly grimy. Otherwise everything was really good. 4 stars."
