"Last Friday, I met some friends for dinner there. I ordered the roast turkey with gravy and stuffing, accompanied by string beans and a green salad. As with all meat selections, the turkey is sliced right in front of you. The server cuts the slices to your preference; I opted for a ½ inch thick slice topped with brown gravy. The turkey was juicy, and the rich brown gravy was served piping hot. The stuffing was tasty, which isn’t surprising since it takes a truly poor cook to mess that up. The string beans and green salad were fresh, crisp, and bursting with flavor. To wash it all down, I enjoyed a refreshing pint of Newcastle on tap—pure bliss.
After dinner, I saw a server slicing up a fresh apple pie, and I couldn’t resist having a piece. My father always said at the dinner table when I was growing up, “Nobody gets up from THIS TABLE hungry!” The same can certainly be said for Lefty O’Doul’s. My dinner (excluding the drink and dessert) was about $10, and the portions are quite generous. To top it off, Lefty’s offers specials starting at just $5, such as spaghetti with meat sauce. Be sure to check out their website; it’s worth visiting!"
