"This place used to be the best hibachi in town. That is NOT the case anymore. The food quality alone is enough for me to not return. Undercooked rice, undercooked scallops, a total lack of the flavor that used to make my mouth water in anticipation. The chef had a total lack of awareness to anyone at his table. He would start distributing the food at the opposite side, seemingly forgetting that he needed enough for the people at the other side. A buddy and myself both had literally HALF portions to the people at the other end of the table and every time he seemed surprised by it. Total lack of awareness and effort on his part. This place has been going downhill for awhile now but after last nights experience I will never be back. It’s a shame really. Very disappointing."

"Full disclosure, we did not stay for food and honestly, they may be good but were having a very bad day. It was incredibly hot outside and when we arrived, their A/C was on but struggling mightily. It was very hot in the restaurant, which is not something you really want when they 're serving raw fish. They had a couple of fans on, but it was not really enough. We were sitting there for about 10 minutes with nobody coming over to us (we were one of two tables occupied in the space) when someone walked to the door and put a sign on it. They did not say anything to us about the sign. We sat there for another couple minutes before one of our party looked at the sign and saw it said Cash Only. System Down. Based on that, the fact they didn 't feel the need to check in on us or alert us to the cash only update, and the heat, we decided to go elsewhere for food."

"We have tried several sushi restaurants in the Lincoln Park/Wrigleyville area. There was nothing wrong with RAW, it just wasn't as good as others. The menu had the basic sushi items. We've been to others with more interesting items or specials. They also seemed to be a little more expensive than other sushi restaurants in the neighborhood. They also charge $10 corkage, whereas most Asian restaurants do not charge anything (Thai, sushi, Vietnamese, Chinese restaurants)."

"I can't believe I only just discovered this place, it deserves 10 stars! The experience is a must, it will change your life. Whether for a date night or takeout, the dishes here are some of the best I've ever tasted. I've tried sushi at many places, but this one absolutely blew me away. It's now in my top 3 favorites. The food is incredible, especially the mouth-watering sushi - every bite is delicious!"

"Excellent food, though the sushi lagged our kids' more conventional dishes. Loved the mai tai served in a big glass shaped like an ancient Hawaiian God. Outdoor seating on a beautiful summer evening was perfect."

"the service was pretty good. I arrived a little late to join my party. they were already sitting and served drinks. I was not offered to order a drink and had to ask for water. the waitress was quite free what I appreciate, but was available when she was called. we had sushi/sashimi and mijo suppe for appetizer. eating was just okay and a bit on the pricier side. they had cool Japanese rooms in which they pulled out their shoes and sit around a low table. we didn't eat on these tables, but they looked like really nice experience."

"Slow the day/time we were there (Sunday 4PM), but seems like a cool place that would be busy most weeknights. Great sushi and sashimi. Good options for maki as well. And the miso soup hit the spot, recovering from a few too many beers the day before. Server was maybe distracted/bored because we added to our order and she showed up with the wrong thing, twice. But the bill was accurate and it didn't take long to correct the order. Worth going again when it may be a bit more lively to really test ambiance (clean and hip seeming, but add ppl and we'll see)."

"I have been to Bisou numerous times. But this time I was disappointed. Mainly with the hostess. I had a reservation of 4. 2 of us were there so I wanted to be seated. The host took us to the back of the restaurant, mind you, there was no one back there. Not a single person. So I asked her can we be seated at another table up front. She said, those tables are reserved. I said, so, I have a reservation as well. She proceeds to tell me I can't sit there. It was 6 open tables. She said I could either sit in the back or outside. So we sat outside. But before that, 4 girls walked in right pass the host desk and sat at an empty table. I said, this is what yall doing? She says it's fine all these girls are for the owner. It felt very discriminatory/racist bc all the black ppl where sitting outside and the white ppl were sitting inside in the area I asked to be sat in. I will never patron Bisou again."

"They list NO WHERE THAT THEY ARE BYOB!!!!! Since my companion cannot walk get something and I had to as a lone female in an area and did not know it was unsettling. Waiter was unapologetic and even sent me to a wrong store! We had Uber ‘d there so I had to walk. NO, not an alcoholic but like wine with a dinner meal with friends!"
"I ordered via DoorDash earlier this week. I haven't ordered here for a year and last time I did, it was pre Covid. My rating now: 4/5 Rating pre-Covid: 3/5..."

"1. There's more food than you can handle! I haven’t left a restaurant feeling this stuffed in a long time. 2. This is the first time I've been to a Japanese/Chinese restaurant where every seat was filled—clearly a local favorite! 3. The chef’s special maki rolls are a must-try; the chef doesn’t cut corners just because it’s a buffet. 4. The sashimi was a bit hit-or-miss. The tuna wasn't as fresh as I had hoped, but considering the price of $26.99 per person, expectations should be tempered. However, the salmon, yellowtail, and red snapper were great! 5. While green tea ice cream is a staple in Japanese restaurants, red bean ice cream? Now that’s an exceptional treat. It was delicious! Overall, I’d rate this buffet 4.6 stars. Definitely give it a try!"
