"The sign says Sake House. This restaurant is by far the best food I visited in North County. It is located on the PCH between Leucadia and Encinitas. You need to make reservations by week and wait for a table when on Friday or Saturday night. They're only open at night. They have a capacity of about 25 people and this is a family business. Parents cook and daughters wait tables. The food is authentic Japanese food where everything they serve is imported from Japan. They have the largest Sake collection in all San Diego and many of their foods are tapas. My favorite dishes are the scallops and mushrooms, the tuna Albacore with Avacado in the miraculous skin and the BBQ beef salad, although I do not eat beef. The dressing is fantastic with a lot of garlic flavor on fresh green. Your spouse or date can always eat beef when you are a vegetarian. The price would be about $20 a person without alcohol. If you go, make sure to make a reservation. Enjoy!"

"As someone who has eaten peking duck a lot it was honestly not that great. The peking duck wrap was basically tortilla wrap (it was wayy too thick tasted super bready). The duck itself was also not that great and too soggy. The skin wasn’t crisp at all and honestly very disappointing. The set up seemed very westernized (for lack of better terms) and didn’t have traditional peking duck setup taste. The duck soup was also very mediocre(at best). Was quite disappointed with everything to be honest. Given the fact that it’s called Peking Duck House I would expect them to have better duck and for them to specialize in it although it was super disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend nor return. Only redeeming quality is that service is ok."

"A solid dimsum spot overall for reasonable price. The hargow is one of the better ones in the area cause the wrap had that bouncy texture. Other highlights for me were the steamed beef meatballs and the fried shrimp rolls in tofu wraps. On the down side, one of the specials was steamed mystery meat and enoki mushroom in tofu wrap. The enoki mushroom had sand in it and the mystery meat felt like ground up leftover siumai and had a not so great texture. The steamed bun wasn't bad but the bun texture is more on the dry side and not as fluffy as other places. The staff was very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed our meal and would definitely go back!"

"Went here for a late dinner with 2 close friends visiting from out of town. The restaurant was very quiet as it was close to closing time for the dining room (they're open later for takeout than they are for eat-in). Dinner was yummy, service was good. This is your traditional American Chinese food (check out their menu online) and I was pleasantly surprised. They also serve sushi, but the night we went they were not serving it, so I can't speak to its quality. I lovesushi, so if get some there I will update this review. I live in East Arlington and we loved being able to walk to dinner and walk home afterwards as it let's you digest. Highly recommend! As I always mention in my reviews when relevant,going here supports a small, local, minority owned business."
