"This is the real deal the only top notch sushi in the Palm Springs area. I stumbled in by happenstance on a Wednesday night without a reservation and since I was dining alone I snagged the only individual seat at the bar. It's popular with locals and the way I noticed it was driving by at 5:00 there was a line of older people waiting to get in right when they opened the doors. Good sign. Service was a bit dictatorial probably because it was so busy and they had to keep things moving but the host (maybe wife and owner) was nice even though she was firm. She just had a ton of patrons to manage. I saw 5 10 parties get turned away since no resy for the short time I waited for my spot to clear. Sushi bar it took a while to eat since they were so busy. Chefs had their hands full. Also full menu is not available at the sushi bar. On to the sushi excellent fish. Right up there with best I've had at some of the high end sushi restaurants on either coast all in an unassuming old school atmosphere. Nothing fancy but yellowtail, tuna, aji, ikura, uni, mackerel, sweet shrimp were all wonderful. The uni was very special. I also loved my negihama roll. Oh expect to pay handsomely for what you get. Take out pork tonkatsu was good also especially after crisping it up in a toaster oven. Had a delicious hot mustard along with the sweet sauce. Don't go here if you're looking for a Philly cheese roll. There's another restaurant somewhere else for that kind of sushi. Go here for great nigiri and the old standbys."

"Went in to buy a gift card. Spent $30. The server had a very difficult time figuring out the process. And kept apologizing. The process took at-least 20 mins. I had to ask for a receipt of proof of purchase for I wasn’t offered one. I felt a bit uneasy walking out with just a gift card and only my credit card receipt (could have been ran as a charge with no proof of gift card purchase anywhere on it) and I made this fact known when I was told if there is any issues to just show the credit card receipt. I was honest and said I don’t hand out my credit card recipes ever, these are for my record only. I wanted a gift receipt. When I did get a receipt after having to strongly suggest I get one because I wanted to make sure since my experience so far made me uneasy, that if my friend whom I bought the gift card for their birthday had any issues she could easily refer to the owner or manager. I was told the owner and manager are the same. I asked for a name to write down on my receipt just in case for my friend and was told her name is Jennifer by the cashier server and then when I proceeded to ask for her last name I was told no one knew the manager’s last name or owners last name(apparently the same person) And when I insisted they ask and find out I was told “I don’t really know how to find out and I have a lot of tables right now so…” (exact words in a disrespectful and rude tone) all as she walked further away around a corner… I left awkwardly feeling like I was dismissed and they were done with me. I wasn’t satisfied by this customer experience. I wonder if this is common? What a terrible customer service experience that was. Made me feel terrible. The server cashier was unfriendly and I didn’t feel appreciated. No one smiled and all kept a very cold demeanor. I really hope they figure out how to treat customers better for I will never be back to eat here and although my friend swears by it this was enough for me to see that the issue trickles down from bad management ownership. If I could give zeros on my review I would have. Be better please."

"I took from Ginza last night. Since it was cold, my husband and I both decided to go with the dinner Bento boxes. In my husband's Bento box he chose soup and home salad (which is included with the Bento box) shrimp vegetables Tempura Spicy Tonkatsu for the roll For my Bengo box I chose: The soup and house salad Gyoza Salmon Avocado Roll Salmon teriyaki boiled medium rarely. My husband picked up our dinner and the first thing he mentioned when he came back was the guy who took our order and who was at the switch, was the most beautiful guy ever! He said he was so nice to him. He had printed the $8.00 off voucher and took it with him as in the voucher had mentioned that the voucher must be printed and presented. My husband said he forgot the voucher in the car and wanted to go back to the car to get it, but the guy didn't leave it. He was so impressed by the goodness which the Lord showed him. At first I have to say that I was so impressed by the portion size of our meal from Ginza. He saw the amount of food we received, I was so happy. This place does business with a generous heart. We started with the shrimp and vegetable tempura and it came with two large shrimp empura and lots of vegetables. We both enjoyed the Tempura Appetizer. It was delicious. Next we ate the gyoza that was delicious. Our daughter absolutely loved the Gyoza. Soup and salad was delicious, but what impressed was the spicy tuna and salmon and avocado rolls. The ratio to fish and rice was so perfect. It was full of taste. We enjoyed every bite. Next to our main course, both the pig tonnkatsu and salmon teriyaki portions were so huge. They were both so full of taste. We enjoyed every bite and every bite. We really enjoyed our dinner experience of Ginza. The portion was generous and delicious. What made me happier was the goodness of my husband by the Lord in the restaurant. We will definitely come back."
