"I took a friend to Cafe Stella for his birthday. I've lived in the area for 17 years and have always wanted to try the place. The hostess was very warm and professional. However, once we were seated, we were either ignored, and we were were ghosted and subjected to one rude server (not our main server) who rolled her eyes and shot daggers at us when we asked for more bread. In all fairness for this review, the food and ambiance were great. The problem here was the service and lack of attention. I don't need lots of it, but I do want to be treated well. This is a systemic problem in many Silverlake restaurants where the waiters just don't seem to want to be bothered with the essentials of their job. If the service was reasonably attentive, I would have raved about the place."
