"The Omakase meal was okay, but not worth the price of $200 per person. The soup was too salty and there was unnecessary tobiko on everything. Additionally, there was a lack of actual sushi and mainly side dishes were served. The fish tasted fresh, but overall it was a disappointing experience. I was expecting traditional Omakase sushi, not a knockoff kaiseki meal."

"This place used to be one of my go to sushi places in the area. However their service and food have gone downhill real fast. We were only ones eating in the restaurant yesterday and despite this, all the staff were standing around chatting about nothing in particular. One waiter and about 3 other people including the food prep guy are doing nothing but chatting. We had to flag down our waiter multiple times for basic requests, i.e. ready to order, more wasabi, and most importantly our hot sake tasted horrible with a bitter weird funky taste. We told our waiter about it who apologized and disappeared for another 10 15 mins. He finally came to take our order (still hasn 't brought us a new sake back). Another 5 10 mins he comes over and brings us a new sake and actually tells us, sorry about the sake, it was a bottle that was almost empty and had sediment that had built up at bottom of bottle. He didn 't seem to show that he cared that they had just given us this; you don 't serve that to customers. He brings the new sake (still didn 't taste very good) and brings our meals. The meals chicken teriyaki, and sashimi with tempura tasted bland and the sashimi pieces were cut sloppily and looked too big. With all of this we still had to flag down our waiter again (they are all so busy chatting) just to pay the bill. Expecting some form of reconciliation for all this, I get the bill and see everything has been charged even the sake despite him admitting giving us bad stuff (that would have likely made us sick if we drank it). I rarely write reviews and really it has to be significant for me to leave a bad review....but people should know this. Very overpriced restaurant for bland average food. Won 't ever be back here to eat. Go to Sushi House on San Mateo Ave in San Bruno for a far better experience and good quality food (and sake)."

"The restaurant is on the second floor (elevator available). Tables are high tips. We had good service to enjoy the cocktails. The POG painkiller is excellent. The ambience is relaxed with open air and beautiful views. We ate here twice during our stay on Maui and had both good experiences. I recommend the Tropical BBQ ribs that fall delicious from the bone."

"Love everything about this place. They are extremely accommodating to vegan and gluten free diets with many different vegan sushi rolls to choose from. They even let us do a vegan version of the crispy rice (with avocado instead of spicy tuna).The patio is super cute and dog friendly. "This restaurant offers great value, serving some of the best fish I've enjoyed recently. Including a 20% tip, the meal came to $22 per person, which covered tea, soda, salad, soup, tempura, a 10-piece chef's choice nigiri, and two specialty rolls. The salmon and eel were especially tender and flavorful, but the highlight was definitely the Hot Papa roll, which had the perfect combination of spice and richness. The service was outstanding; they promptly cleared each dish from our table as soon as we finished. However, keep in mind that you'll need to request drink refills."

"Restaurant is short staffed and they had made it known at the front on a sign, so we were understandable with the wait. The food wasn?t bad but it wasn?t the best. The volcano roll was pretty much drenched in eel sauce which made it very salty and heavy to me. The hibachi was a little bland but everything else about it, especially the steak, was good. The steak was very tender and cooked perfectly. Now even though I understood that they were short staffed and we would have to wait a little bit longer for certain things, I didn?t really like how the used plates on our table we?re still stacked there even when our waitress made rounds at our table and we would have to ask for basic things before having to eat. Also our check was brought to us even though an order that I had made had never arrived to our table nor was it even included in the bill, so that meant it was forgotten, because our waitress had even repeated my order. Overall, it?s not that bad, but this would be a place I would come to every blue moon and if I was invited by someone."

"Well, they know how to earn money! I give them that. they charge $20 at the door for “Kaoke”, if it actually costs $150 for an hour. they won't tell you until you pay the $20 and get up. the actual box in which they put you has matured seats and the song selection is incredibly limited. our only microphone did not work and was never replaced. I never felt so ripped off."

"I politely explained to the waiter that I am vegan—clarifying that I don’t consume dairy or eggs, just to be clear—and he assured me that the ginger salad was vegan. However, when the salad arrived, it looked different from any ginger salad I've ever had. I suspected there was some kind of cream in it, so I asked again and was rudely reassured that it was indeed vegan.
