"My wife is a NY transplant and we have been on the search for a place that can deliver the consistency and taste of an authentic NY slice.  This is honestly the closest to a NY slice we could find. The pizzas are made fresh to order and have the right cheese to sauce ratio on each slice.  We each started with a slice each and they came out fast and pipping hot, just the way it should be.  After the first bite we both looked at each other and gave the nod of approval.  Other pizza places in Philly and the suburbs often over cheese the pizza and when you go to bite it, the entire cheese falls off with the bite.  Not at Brunos!  The other thing to mention is that the pizza sauce is what a good pizza sauce should be; robust, sweet and have a hint of herbs/spices.  Overall the pizza has the perfect balance of cheese, sauce and the crust is crispy and chewy the closest thing to pizza perfection. We then tried their cheesesteak with american cheese with onions.  They use fresh rolls that are soft but remarkably absorb and hold all the meat and cheese together for a great tasting cheesesteak.  The difference with Bruno's cheesesteak is that they season their cheesesteak meat and the flavor profile is more complex than getting a run of the mill cheesesteak from other pizzerias where it just tastes like dry meat and cheese.  The taste of the meat combined with the onions and cheese all mixed up in that soft roll makes this one of the best cheesesteaks I have ever had in Philadelphia and I've been to Steve's Prince of Steaks, Genos, Pats, Jim's on South St. and Dalessandro's Steaks.  If you have tried all those other places, you need to get a cheesesteak from Bruno's and you'll see what I'm talking about. Lastly, we ended our meal with some chicken wings.  They are breaded and fried like how us Philadelphians have grown up eating from the local seafood and pizzerias.  The chicken wings were cooked perfectly and after the first bite into that crispy breaded chicken wing I was hooked.  I read some other reviews about the chicken being undercooked and based upon that guy's review I would have to disagree.  It's possible for properly cooked chicken to appear red, or even bleed, at the thigh bone. ... This is because pigments in the bone marrow seep through the thin bones of these juvenile birds, tinting the meat with a heat stable pigment. Anyways, I recommend that you eat a slice there while you wait for your pie to get ready. If you're in the area, this is the place to go to! Pro Tip:  Reheat your pizza on the stove to bring back that fresh from the oven taste and texture.  Don't microwave your leftover pizza, don't be an amateur."
