"We were a few days with a training group in this little sympathetic city. After our work we explored the city. The promenade on the Rhine invites you to walk. Sure you can drive in this area or hike. By ferry you can translate to the other side of the Rhine. The city even has its own station. The offer of locals is relatively large in a small area in the city centre. The wine house made a good impression from the outside and we returned. We didn't regret the election in a second. The house was once a farm with some vineyards. It followed an external economy over time. The vineyard is no longer operated and the restaurant has developed into a comfortable restaurant. Ambiente The Weinhaus Im Lämmlein is located in the old town of Unkel. The guest room is surrounded by vines and looks so cozy. Through the glass roof the light of the sun comes into the room for a long time. You're in a quiet retreat. With friends you can sit here and relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Small dishes spread hunger that usually arise in a social round. Defend bare wooden tables, rustic chairs and benches invite you to stay. Cleanliness The premises are neatly maintained, the tables are polished. Service The service is friendly and competent and will be happy to advise you when selecting food and drinks. The waiters will also leave with greater operation. It is a family business and everyone wants to satisfy the guests. The map(s) In addition to the drinks, there are delicious small dishes: flame cakes, soups, cheese, sausage dishes, candy. The tasting I sprinkled with cream, bacon, onions and cheese; Try bread, butter, cheese and some open wines. The others have chosen similar. At the beginning we have also divided whole bottles available for eight people. The flame cake (5,50 € was well covered, the dough was creamy: it tasted. At the price you can also try something else (small cheese plate 5,70 €). In my opinion, the wines are chosen skillfully: not too expensive and in taste rather pleasant, light and sweet (from sweet to dry not to think but to relax. The most expensive bottle costs 23,50 € (Dagernova N°2, Spätburgunder fineherb matured in the wooden barrel. The wine card concentrates on German wines, especially Rhine and Ahr. Almost all are glass-wise (cables to order 0.2 l. In Unkel itself, not much wine is cultivated or sold under the location name. However, there are some examples such as Unkeler Funkeler, a Spätburgunder (Pokal 5,90 € or Unkeler Sonnenberg, a Weißburgunder (Pokal 5,80 € Conclusion 3 – when it comes back). We had a lot of fun as a group and have often laughed. The mood was easy. A nice evening. But for a dinner, I think the place is less suitable (it does not even increase the claim). (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – when it returns, 4 – again happy, 5 – absolutely again – after “Kuechenreise”"

"Unkel is located directly on the father Rhine (40m). A beautiful old town with small old cheeses, semi-concrete houses and courtyards attracts guests. Along the Rhine promenade overlooking the Siebengebirge you will also find the Weinhaus Zur Traube in the centre of Unkels. Large parking spaces are within walking distance. Surroundings We come from the city side and stroll through the beer garden through the guest house Korf to the restaurant area of the Weinhaus Traube. The house was built in 1707. The bright green café chairs and a vine roof to the ceiling are immediately noticeable, which are distributed over the sitting guests. Here the grapes fall directly into the wine glass. The vines are partly over 100 years. The entire wine garden is covered with glass. The tables and chairs are simply joined together to harvest wine, put in the niches and harvested grapes from the ceiling. Sadness in disgust is something unique. Everything was decorated by past days with utensils. The wooden floor is slightly inclined. Space for up to 180 people. Disabled toilet facilities. Service Advised staff, dressed insulted and when the boss tells about his vines, his enthusiasm also jumps to the guests. Food The menu is not big, but everyone finds something about its glass of wine here. Wines from almost all wineries are available here. We choose from the map the baked Camembert with salad plate (9,50 €). First we have to look for the Camembert. Packed under the salad there is a very nice baked large Camembert with fried parsley. The salad is fresh and crisp to carrot salad, which unfortunately comes from the glass. As a second dish we choose the scavenger with mushroom cream sauce and pommes (12.50 €). The scavenger is beautifully baked in the pan, the mushrooms over it fresh and very excellent the mushroom sauce with a wonderful mushroom aroma. Conclusion: Those who are located in the area of Bad Honnef should not walk past hostes, but should return to the Weinhaus Zur Traube. Very good."
