"This entry from the Himmerod abbey unfortunately reduces the abbey to the monastery's restaurant, but I would like to report briefly what is still the really great restaurant. Since I am a real soup food, instead of a main dish of meat, fish or vegetarian, I chose the defensive goulash soup and that was then also right with the associated convent bread. I saved the many desserts for dessert, but I can tell you that my fellow fighters mentioned everything commendable and the eaten main dishes have tasted them very well. In terms of quantity there was the highest indication: something less would have been enough. So you can't... The monastery restaurant is rightly proud of the regional delicacies from its own production, including herbs and salads from its own convent garden.
