"This entry is for a poor customer service experience at the KT Base Bar yesterday afternoon. I ordered one of my favorite cocktails, a Woodsman, but asked to substitute rye for the usual bourbon. When I got the bill, I noticed that I was charged $3 extra and when I asked why, I was told by the supervisor, Nate, that there was an up charge for rye. When I told him that the barman at the Arc, Tatnall (an awesome staff member, btw) had been giving me rye with my drink all winter Nate responded that 'I should go up to the Arc then. Always a great place to enjoy a drink while watching skiers wrap up their runs on Exhibiton, Red Dog and KT-22. Great drinks, great bartenders and no better place to chill after a day on the slopes.

If you're sitting at the base of KT and the sun is shining on your face and there's new powder, how can you complain? Don't come here for the food, come here to relax and rejoice in your good fortune.

KT Base Bar has become my go to for a lunch break. It's veryyy popular so finding an outdoor table and can be challenging, but it's totally worth it. The view of the mountain is beautiful, there's a huge fire pit in the middle, and the vibes are pretty great. The only downside was that there was no music playing really would've added to the ambiance. My friend and I went inside first to grab food at OH! Burger. We both chose the OH! Burger Classic, and I got mine on a gluten free bun (not amazing but we love a GF option). Then we went to the outdoor bar for some drinks.
