"Behind the remains of the old Zisterzienserinnenkloster in Altfriedland (45 east of Berlin, 40 km northwest of Frankfurt/O) stands the gastronomic construction of the “Klosterschänke”. As the view of other portals shows, the restaurant already exists longer. However, the management seems to have changed, because the boss received every guest with a lively chatter at a glass of champagne and told what about a new opening. Parking is a bit problematic. There are only a few parking spaces available on the premises, in the village itself there is usually a parking ban. Sitting in front of the restaurant with a not so beautiful view of the monastery ruins and a beautiful view of the Klostersee or in the house. The flat counter space is just too small. In addition, numerous showcases also take up space. The upper guest room on the gallery is spacious and bright. From here you will also have a view of Klosterkirche, Klosterruine and Klostersee. Interesting is the ceiling construction. However, in this part of the house there seems to be a lot of warmth. The toilets are located opposite the house in a separate building. The offer includes food and drinks as well as coffee and cakes. I was just there at the coffee time and decided for 1 piece of cheese cake and a pot of coffee (total 4.50 €uro). I owe the holocaust and somewhat unskilled service to the opening day. The coffee was very good and very strong, the cake (home baked like all cakes, as I was insured) was delicious. Conclusion: Nice restaurant. I have to taste food again on occasion. Coffee and cakes are worth the reunion. Despite not overlooking service problems this day 4 stars included new opening bonus stars."
