"I kept hearing about this place and how good their key lime pie was. It was not only good but the best I have ever had! AMI is a very special place and Sign of the Mermaid is a special place as well! My wife said the owner was very nice to her so that's just bonus points! Cannot wait to try their other food. Update: The Sign of the Mermaid has been closed now for a few years unfortunately."

WTW we are on AMI this week and wanted to take our daughter here. We were confused because Google says it’s open at 5:30, but the reviews say it’s closed...we drove by and sure enough it is closed for good. Update the info on the place Google!

We traveled to Anna Maria island and made it a point to visit this place due to the Creme Brûlée French toast we saw online. Unfortunately when we went to this place, it had a sign saying it was closed indefinitely for renovations. They should update with google so people don’t waste their time trying to come here while they’re closed.

"Definitely not the same place I started eating at 8 years ago. The last two times I’ve been I wasn’t impressed. I’m a local and brought some family visiting from NY this evening and even they said they expected better. Seafood didn’t taste fresh, calamari app had more onions and feta cheese than calamari. $17 jalapeño margarita with 6 large ice cubes and a half a glass of margarita was disappointing. I guess tourists don’t care but I won’t be coming back there’s better options on the island."

"What a gem. Don’t be fooled by the outside this place is beautiful inside. We were lucky enough to get a seat at dinner because they fill up quickly. Crab legs were delicious and risotto was amazing. son had spaghetti and sauce was on the sweeter side but still very tasty. Peel and eat shrimp was a huge serving get the full pound because you’re not going to be able to stop eating them. The most memorable thing was their mashed potatoes. They have to have be the best mashed potatoes on Anna Marie Island."

"we sat on a Thursday night at the bar. aphena and theny were the bartenders/servers. very gracious and attentive. the food and the ambiente were wonderful. definitiw added the chateau to our "favorites "list"

"Our initial impression was not a good one. There was apparently a mixup as to which server had our table. We finally had to ask for a server. Then our server forgot about us again. So it took about 35-40 minutes just to get our drinks. After that, our server was very attentive and recovered well. Our meals were very good, and an accommodation was made to our bill for the initial inconvenience. Service snafus do happen from time to time, so I would still recommend the Waterfront and return myself, based on the quality of the food, the ambiance and how well they handled recovery from our initial service issue."
