"The opening of Hiro in Buxheim was in December 2016. The owner Shinko Wirtz has been living in Ingolstadt for many years and is known for her Japanese cooking classes, sushi courses or Wagyu grill courses. The name Hiro is the short name of Chef Morihiro Kitamura. He completed his training at the world-famous Hattori cooking school in Tokyo. Among other things, he ran his own restaurant in the famous Ryogoku district of Tokyo. Location and ambience: Approximately 20 minutes by car from Ingolstadt, the Hiro is located right on the main road in the middle of Buxheim. Access via the Fischergasse leads to a large parking lot. A staircase leads to the entrance. The guest room differs well from the most fraudulent overloaded Asian palaces. If the front part is more of a European design, it becomes discrete Japanese in the rear area: inside bamboo bubbles in front of the windows, decoration and pictures will choose the guest on a cozy evening in another world. The terracotta-coloured floor tiles as well as the tables, chairs and benches made of dark wood are probably still the predecessor. Cleanliness is impeccable. Service: The greeting was very friendly and we were allowed to choose one of the still free tables. Waiters and operators work both professionally, attentively and competently. Patience, they take time for the guest and are essential for delaying the opposite of almost food. Questions about the individual dishes are answered without being asked in the kitchen. Empty glasses did not remain undetected for a long time and the obligatory question whether everything was fine several times. Food: The restaurant offers traditional Japanese cuisine. The dishes are authentic and freshly prepared. The quality of the products is excellent, optics and taste testify to high craftsmanship. I decided today for the Wafuu with three courses (28.80 euros). Wafuu means in Japanese fashion. 1. Gang Zensai Wafuu 1. Sushirl (Maki) with cucumber, salmon and fresh cheese, Sushirl with avocado, Chili Tuna Tatar and other small dishes. 2. Gang Salada to Udon Wafuu 2. Gang Bunter Salad and warm Udon noodles with various dressings (Seetang and Sesame). Miso soup Miso soup with tofu and wakame, an algae type 3. Gang Tori Kamameshi Wafuu 3. Gang Grilled chicken legs with Teriyaki sauce and rice, mushrooms, spinach, ovulate in leaf form. For this purpose inlaid ginger (dimmed thin) and japanese inlaid vegetables. As dessert I took Dorayaki, a pancake with coconut cream (4.10 Euro) Dorayaki with various fruits and whipped cream. My partner chose the Bento Box (28.80 Euro). Bento Box is a widely used dosage form in Japan, in which various dishes are divided into separate boxes. Bento Box Sushi: Miscellaneous Nigiri, Maki with cucumber, salmon and fresh cheese, Maki with avocado and Chili Tuna Tatar Tori Teriyaki: Chicken kewer with Teriyaki sauce tempura to Ebi fry: In Tempuratey baked vegetables and roasted shrimps Sakana Nanban: Baked fish with sweet Sauersauce As dessert she also took an iceball in Mochi dough (3.90 euros). Mochi ice cream with various fruits and whipped cream. This time the mochi ice was refined with Matcha (green tar powder). Conclusion: Whoever likes Japanese cuisine is here. The dishes are authentic and of excellent quality. Here are cereals at work! The service is exemplary, friendly, flink and competent. You can also buy a somewhat longer trip and reasonable prices. A visit is highly recommended!"
