"04.06.2017 After our day trip through Wetterau and Vogelsberg, this restaurant was on our way home at Lauterbach. I haven't seen Burg Lauterbach yet. ; The host is very friendly. The menu offers soups, salads and simple dishes such as schnitzel, Rumpsteak, sprinkled,1/2 chickens, pointing out that it has 30 minutes cooking time. In summer, barbeque is offered in the Burghof for 14, 50 € per person. The prices for main dishes are in the usual range between 10 and 20 €. Mr. N. ordered a pilgrimage and a carving carving with fried bacon and fried eggs, I a Cola light and a Cordon Bleu, with some re-discussed roast potatoes instead of pommes and without frying sauce. The atmosphere is relaxed, out of a loudspeaker softly flicker music. You can enjoy the view of the castle building, the square before and the historic ensemble. The salad belonging to the dishes was served in advance. I was very happy about the crunchy leaf salad, where nowadays mostly cheaper iceberg salad is served. Among them were cucumbers, carrots and radish salad. According to Mr. Ns. Taste was too sour to lettuce. To me the roast potatoes with bacon and onions were a bit too salty, but still edible. The Cordon Bleu could score for this. For a long time, I had no Cordon Bleu that was so abundantly filled with cheese. The main dishes served were tasty and the portions plentiful. Mr. Hund was also supplied with water and leaks. But only after Herrchen was asked if he was allowed to have it. Of course, Mr Dog and it has tasted very well. Conclusion: I recommend the restaurant!"
