"Horrible weekend with tourist restaurant food in wharf area. Had to come back to comfort food for flavor.Chose this place and glad we did. Friendly staff and clean restroom for the germaphobes. Quick order and food.Pozole was delicious as well as the salsa.Chicken verde enchilada was good as well. Refried beans also great alone or with chips.All around good food. Would recommend if need some flavorful Mexican food after a trip to Monterey Bay where food is overpriced and bland. Expensive does not equal good. This place is good."

we have been coming to alfonso for many years. they not only have the most delicious Mexican food. the owners always come by and talk to them with names. the waiting staff has excellent customer service. they make Italian food today on Friday. it is also delicious. we will go back many years.
