"I visited Shokudo for Valentine's Day and absolutely loved it. The food was authentic and delicious, and the restaurant is owned by a Korean couple—the wife has spent some time living in Japan. My Japanese wife ordered the Hamburg Steak and Tonkatsu, and she said the Hamburg Steak tasted just like what she’s had in Japan. The portions are generous; we couldn't even finish the Tonkatsu. The kushiage was also incredibly tasty. I would definitely return just for the Fish Cake and Fish Ball kushiage. My wife particularly enjoyed the Lotus Root kushiage. The creative blend of Korean and Japanese cuisine at this restaurant is both original and delightful. The fusion of rice, sauces, and meats results in a wonderfully comforting meal. I especially loved the rich flavor of eggs featured in several dishes. The deep-fried skewers, which are lightly battered and exceptionally flavorful, are an ideal snack choice.

The service was very friendly. The owner made sure we felt comfortable and didn’t disturb us while my wife and I were engaged in conversation. It was a nice touch. At the end of our meal, the owner's wife gave us three Ferrero Rocher chocolates for free. I have to say, that definitely scored some serious points with my wife, as they just brought them over to our table at Shokudo!
