"The BEST restaurant in Suffolk County, New York. Beautiful scenery and atmosphere right on the Patchogue River. Nestled in a love and quaint neighborhood south of busy Patchogue Village. The chef and food are outstanding! From St. Patrick's day specials like the corn beef dish and Oktoberfest specials like the saurerbraten, the Oar delivers consistently amazing food. The seafood dishes are fresh and delicious as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the south shore of Suffolk, Long Island. The owner is a class act too. Very friendly, humble and welcoming. I love this place!!! I've been going over a decade"

It was st Patrick's day and nothing going on. How does a bar not have green beer. How do you not get mustard with corn beef that you have to ask for it. No band no dj . food was ok. Not my kind of place
