"My fiance and I tried this spot last night and it did not disappoint. We had a good range from the menu and everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I savored the vegetable beef barley crock as my starter with a warm crusty roll and he got 2 jumbo shrimp in his cocktail. We shared the stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were hot, juicy, and one could tell ingredients immediately. Definitely a rich, decadent option and I could only enjoy one. Dinner was a garden salad with steak (his) and a flat iron market price cooked to medium well (mine). Sides chosen were baked potato and steamed broccoli. The surf and tower was great. Happy, in a quiet night during low season. For the first time in 15 years. Loved it and hope to return sooner than later.

Recommend this restaurant when you're in the area. Food was plentiful, delicious and we had a great experience in the restaurant. Thank you to the staff that we have the best time there.

This is a hard one, because since I moved to Southern Maine, everyone and their mother told me how good the steakhouse is in Wells. I have to say the caesian salad and the onion soup were amazing, but the namemaker, the steak, was just okay. The steak was perfectly cooked, but without any kind of spices. They served a blue cheese garlic butter with it, but the taste exaggerated any steak taste. If I went for the apps, I would go back, but if I wanted a good steak, I don't think that's my first choice.
