Because my wife wanted the hot day dinner and I wanted the cold Vesperteller. The hot food was out and even though we said we didn't want the cold dish either, because it was supposed to have something to eat, the cold dish was just so shy and we should pay what we did then. Our wishes were not accepted. Not like that! We have seen much better and more healthy beer gardens in Bamberg! Otherwise, the beer garden is very nicely located under old chestnuts and has a kindergarten. It is easy to reach on foot, but it takes stamina on the steep mountain....
