"I always find the freshest and most beautiful vegetables at BV. Then go with the mass and choose a rice, maybe some oatmeal or granola and nutritional yeast. On the refrigerator, where I want to find my cheese freshly cut, my milk near a cow as possible, and many yogurt. Then maybe a loaf of fresh bread, delicious oil and some sweetness for dinner. My shopping list checked. Just what I believed."

I love shopping here, would always stop by whenever I’m in Mt Shasta. I simply just enjoy walking between the shelves and looking at the great selections of stuff and produce they carry. The staff is very friendly, the price is on the higher end, but for the quality, I think it is actually very reasonable.

Everyone loves to complain to forget how happy we are to have Berryvale as a reliable source for healthy foods. Prices are cheaper than Ripoff Ray's, and I want to support the local business. I know people who travel from Redding to get to Berryvale... you have to travel to Ashland to find something similar.

"I visited this restaurant from time to time with non vegan friends. You always try to offer accommodations like roasted tomatoes instead of eggs, which I very much appreciate. Please note, however, that from this letter they do not have dedicated vegan options on the menu, and the servers usually do not know whether a particular bread is vegan, for example. I would see LOVE, this local jewel add some vegan options to the menu! Your customer service and ambience is beautiful (for the mountain Shasta, a small mountain town in Siskiyou district)."

"Ordered the Grilled Turkey, Blue Cheese burger and Halibut burger. My grilled turkey was excellent, and the side of butternut squash soup was so good. Husband really liked his burger, and daughter throughly enjoyed the halibut burger. Can’t wait until it warms up for beers on the deck!"

"Not sure why this was so highly rated. Based on the great reviews, I visited the restaurant. Ordered a chicken thali priced at 28$(Most expensive thali in US). It included very small piece of half cooked naan. 2 spoons of dal with rice and other veggies. Small portion of chicken curry which had very less pieces of chicken. Overall quantity was very less. Quality was also poor.Service was pathetic. Plates, spoons and cups were not clean.Never ate such an overrated indian food in US which turned out to be worthless."

"I was really impressed by this sweet Thai restaurant on my way out of Shasta. I was greeted immediately and asked if I wanted a vegan or regular menu. What??!!! They have both?! How great is that?! And it was a big vegan menu! Excellent service. Excellent clean food and large portions. Loved that I could order the yellow curry with veggies instead of tofu. As Shasta restaurants are mostly meat-centric, this was a pleasant surprise."

"Good Food--Reasonable Prices. We came here after hiking around Castle Lake. We had a nice quiet area in the bar. The server was prompt and took care of us. The food we had was the 2 for $20 and included an appetizer. We had the Flautas for the appetizer, I had the Arroz con Pollo which is a boneless breast of chicken sautéed in a rich orange tomato sauce with mushrooms and onions served over a bed of rice and melted Monterey Jack cheese. My husband had the Macho Burrito which is a super burrito! Flour tortilla filled with Mexican or white rice, refried or rancho beans and your choice of ground beef, chicken, pork, picadillo or chile Colorado. Smothered with burrito sauce and cheddar cheese garnished with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and cotija Mexican cheese. The food was filling and also had a couple of cocktails and my husband and a beer all for around $40.00 ...Not bad since we drank all that alcohol. I would recommend this place...good eats and good drinks and very filling!!"
