"Having read bad reviews on this place I can understand what they are saying, however our experience was mixed but overall it was fantastic, however some people made it an amazing experience. We were staying at the 25hour hotel and decided to try and go for dinner here at 9pm and could only be offered a seat at the bar, which ended up being an absolute win. The restaurant was really busy and the service was pretty slow. After fumbling around the German menu and google translated it we got served drinks and they quickly changed to an English menu once they realised we didn't have a clue what we were ordering. We went for breakfast. The service was fast and attentive. The drinks were nice and the food was original. I wouldn't rave about it as much as some of the reviews here do. It was maybe a little heavy for breakfast. But it was nice. Vegan options too. And handy for the 25hours hotel next door.

First visit to Bar Shuka was fabulous. Great creative menu with lots of humor. Don’t let the abrupt hostess put you off, our waitress was amazing and very helpful when it came to ordering. English menus are available so ask for them if required. Lots of middle eastern favorites and I hugely recommend the selection of dips (Zohan’s Favourites, and the breaded eggplant. We also had the salad with Mangos which was fresh and delicious. Many of their cocktails are using Lebanese Arak which is anise flavored (like ouzo or Sambucca .
