"This restaurant is a popular spot in Scituate Harbour and we visit frequently with out of town guests. Food and service are great however the noise level is just uncomfortable. I would recommend to anyone reserving a table to request the large room on the other side of the bar. We sat between a large glass window and the very busy and noisy bar so having conversation was difficult. We enjoy the restaurant and plan to return numerous times, just not in that section."

"1. after many reviews and pictures on fb food group. we sat and served hot tee and water. the waiter came back and took the drink order and left menus. came back a few minutes later with drinks and gave us more time to watch over the menu. a few minutes later he came back and commanded. eating came in very reasonable time frame, piping hot, wing, chicken finger, huh and bark teriyaki was perfect and juicy, all the other on pupu platter was great. inlays by kung pao iii delight, marco polo delight and egg foo yong were vaporous and very good, woman liked that efy gravy was on the side that is better, as rest on this wise. service was very good, waiter was attentive, but not disturbing. the price was very reasonable for everything we have. pupu for 3, large rangoon, lg beef teriyaki, the 3 main side shells, 2 scorpion bowls for 2 and 2 pepsi’s was just under $153 in front of top. try it better than that everywhere."

"Was the perfect place for girls night before they started making menu changes, bring back the poutine and the Mac and cheese recipe from 6 months ago! And the pulled pork baked potato. Best things on the menu now gone, so sad. Food is still delicious, but the reasons we went are all gone"

"General Gau is the best around. Everything here is great from apps, noodles and rice to entrees. The only con is that it is pricey but that is probably more to do with inflation than anything else. Can't go wrong. It's hard to find a Chinese/Asian restaurant where everything you usually order is great to the best around...this place is one of them"
