"We used to love this place when it was in Middleburg a few years ago. Unfortunately, in my opinion it has gone in the wrong direction. The bigger place almost empty on a Saturday night, by the way is no where near as warm and inviting. The food was also not nearly as good. Some specifics: a steak frittes with no onglet hangar steak?!? Now the steak frittes uses a sirloin?!? Why? And to tenderize it, there's a strong marinade soy sauce, vinegar? which hides any beef taste. The fries weren't very good. The bread? that was our favorite restaurant to stop when we tasted in loud for wine/beer. great food, great service, great people. it breaks my heart that they had to close their doors at the weekend. the French hound is very missing.

the food and service was fantastic. I was already in her restaurant in middleburg before (loved it) and finally came to try the lansdowne. we started with the ratatouille pizza and one of my companions had the French wobble soup. I loved them both. I had the steak fries and it was fabulous. my companions had the laughs and the ducks and both shaved.
