"I was taught at an early age that if you want to experience a different culture cuisine, you need to eat with a local. I went here with a friend who is from Hong Kong and he helped order. I never had any of the dishes he ordered before and thank god. I never ate so good in my life. I do not even believe that I have ever enjoyed Chinese food this much before. I recommend going with a group and order 5 things that you would normally not select. I have so many new favorite dishes that I can not wait to get a group together and go back."

Lao Beijing is fantastic; the food is excellent and the service was great. The menu is huge and I'd be surprised if you couldn't find something to satisfy everyone at the table. Dishes range from standard (like Mongolian beef) to more exotic (like sauteed beef intestine). The location is super convenient as well, just a few minutes' walk from the Red Line Chinatown stop.

I like this better than any other Lao chain restaurants. You can find some good Beijing options here and most of the dishes are cooked well. The only complain I had about this place is the placement of the door. It faces directly towards the inside of the restaurant, meaning if you are eating here at cold winter night, the while room is freezing when someone opens the door and comes in. Bad design.

Came here around 11am on a Sunday , and restaurant was already half full. It's a small place, so seating is limited. Wonton Beijing style soup with what appears to be made from scratch wonton wrapping was s nice starter. Next was the combo Pan Fried Flat Rice Noodles, which we thought would be a crispy, but instead were soft, again made from scratch soft noodles, which were pretty tasty. Beef in garlic sauce is the last dish, served with rice was a nice contrast to the other dishes. Pricing is average. Credit cards accepted.
