"Live visiting Havre de Grace in the spring. Food was good, had salmon wrap and Reubens sandwich both with fries. Food was warm, not hot, but good. We where outside on a cool day, so didn't expect hot food. Food was slow for what it was, didn't time it but guessing 20 30 min. No problem, as we enjoyed time to sit down.Waitress was okay, reason for 2*. She petted a dog multiple times, picked up dirty plates, served drinks and food without washing her hands. Didn't provide napkins, had to ask for them, not a big deal, things happen. More concerned over the hand washing.I don't give 5 stars unless exceptional food and serves."

Overall the hostesses and waiter was very diligent and very fast. I came into a crowded room late (it was a large party celebration that I was invited to) and was recognized immediately which I am grateful for. The menu prices are a bit high but I suppose I just need to make more money. I'd come back for celebrations. Great location, on the street parking is free and has reasonable time limits. The restaurant also has a parking lot I think.

"I came to the Bayou restaurant with my family on a Friday around 4:30 pm. I guess since it was still early it was DEAD. It was one of those situations where I got there and thought Shoot, did I not check the hours?? Thinking maybe it was even closed. We walked in and got seated immediately. The decor is very old and outdated. The waitress came over and asked for our drink selections we didn 't have drink menus on our table and I had to ask for one. The waitress looked surprised when I asked (probably cause I look young), but why wouldn 't you have a drink menu ready? That 's money right there! I decided to order the Awesome Potato which is a potato stuffed with crab imperial and cheese. Ummm, yes. It was pretty good. I felt like our food took awhile to come out, but they give you rolls and veggies to munch on. The potato itself was huge and you get two sides, so there was a lot of food. I will say, I LOVE their fries. My favorite type of fries are those crispy fries that almost taste like they 're double breaded. It was probably one of my favorite parts of the meal. Overall, I felt like it was quantity over quality. When we were closing out and waiting for our checks my family all paid with cards (we were going dutch) and I paid with cash. They were closed out and done with their cards and I was waiting for my change for another 5 7 minutes even though I saw my waitress doing other things in the dining room. Everything was okay, but I 'm not in any rush to go back."

"We visited Backfin Blues De Graw for Sunday brunch. We placed a reservation for 1pm at about noon just in case but there was not a wait to be seated for our party of four. This is what we ordered. There was an order of the crab omelet with sweet potato tots and an english muffin. The omelet was cooked well with a decent amount of crab in almost every bite. The tots were crispy and the english muffin came toasted well and pre-buttered. This was accompanied by an apple cider mimosa which tasted more or less just like apple cider. Another order was for the creole omelet with a side of cheesy grits and corn muffins. Additionally, an appetizer with the creole crab cakes was ordered. Everything tasted great. The third order was creole french toast with a side of bacon. The fourth order was also creole french toast. This order was asked to have a side of meat splitting bacon and andouille sausage. I specifically and explicitly asked if this could be done. I wanted to split one side order, not order two sides (more on this later). Oddly, the two sides of bacon were brought out on the same dish and we were basically told we can separate them ourselves. The french toast was extremely interesting. It came out like a donut or beignet deep fried with a crunchy and flaky outershell. The service is when things started to take a dip. We were informed that there was a large party on the other side of restaurant so things might be a little slow. The space between in the center part of the restaurant was basically empty. So when our waiter all but disappeared after delivering the food to the point of us having to ask another if his shift ended, we were surprised at how long it took to check out and leave. Because of this long wait, I didn’t bother explaining that we were charged double for the side meat order. They charged twice and the base price of meat sides was $4 when the menu said $3. Because it was ultimately under $10 in question, I just let it go since we had been sitting for too long at that point. Let down after an otherwise good tasting brunch."
