"I've been waiting for an authentic Japanese ramen experience in the NoVA area for some time, and Marumen provides it. From quality, authentic food with an occasional twist to friendly (if sometimes absent minded) service, Marumen does ramen right in the shell of an old Pizza Hut. Nice atmosphere (so much quieter than JINYA Ramen in Mosaic) and very good food. I liked that they served us tea and edamame as a complementary starter. The ramen itself has very aromatic flavors that balance together well it feels nutritious just as it tastes delicious. They could definitely expand on their selection of ramen though.

The ramen was good and they did a good job making an old Pizza Hut look very modern. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with extra pork belly and the pork belly was very yummy. The waitress was very attentive, maybe a little over-attentive. She came to check on us, to the point that we felt pretty rushed (we still had a hr before they closed).
