"I have no idea how this restaurant is rated so high by reviewers. Are they confusing this with another place??? Beijing China's lunch menu is NOT good. Yeah, it's cheap and the portions can feed an army. But most of their dishes have the artificial, freeze-dried dunes-rehydrated aftertaste and texture. Some work colleagues and I have tried a few of their choices from the lunch speciality list, namely the Szechuan-Bohnen-Curd, the orange chicken and the Mongolian beef, and they were disgusting. (I studied in Beijing, and yes, I have a hint of good Chinese food. I know this is not San Gabriel or Rosemead, but seriously, even the frozen “Chinese” dinners of Swanson taste better.
