"We had reserved for 8 people for lunch. Spontaneously, another person was there and there was no problem. Got a chair right away. We sat a little close together. Food came very fast. Was fresh, warm and delicious. In places a little salty. But nothing special. I've eaten better pizza and pasta. Toilets were clean. Toilet paper. They were friendly. More often came by to ask if everything is okay."

The food is great! It's beautifully dressed and the eye eats well. All fresh. It's good too. The location is on a road, but nevertheless it is very quiet and pleasant. The places outside are very nice and also inside it is cozy and well maintained. Always happy! View menu

I've eaten salad and pizza on two consecutive days. Both were excellent, the prices were perfectly fine. The service was fast and very friendly. On Saturday evening very, very many guests were there that speaks for the quality of the restaurant. I recommend a table reservation at least on weekends.

"This restaurant was recommended to a work colleague and me by our German host. It was within easy walking distance (10-15 minutes) of the Hotel zur Linde, where we were staying. Note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays. The restaurant is in an historic old building with wonderful wooden beams and pillars. It claims to have been a family run inn since 1558.The restaurant is entered through a lovely old courtyard, which would be a cool dark oasis on a hot summer’s day. On arriving, we encountered a coach party leaving the restaurant so we timed our entrance just right. We noticed that several tables were reserved so it is obviously a popular restaurant. We managed to find a table and our order was taken. During the evening we saw no sign of any male workers – all the cooking and serving seemed to be done by three ladies who could have been from one family as we thought we could discern facial similarities. We were served by a middle-aged lady who, at first, seemed rather brusque with little knowledge of English. Therefore I quickly got out my trusty German phrase book and dictionary and proceeded to translate the menu and what to say. We’d been told the rump steak was excellent so we both chose that, ordering our steaks the way we liked best in our poorly pronounced German. However, we ensured our order was understood by pointing to the relevant words!Firstly, we had a salad dressed in an excellent vinaigrette. The rump steak came with fried onions and potatoes. It was extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. Very tender. It was washed down very well with a local red wine, full of fruit and with just enough body.We fancied a dessert and selected something we thought was black forest gateau. It was close but not quite gateau. On telling of our experience later, back in the UK, to a better German speaker it emerged that a better translation was black forest cup or goblet. Anyway, whatever it was was delicious. Lashings of cream covering a lot of black cherries and ice cream with copious quantities of liquor – seriously alcoholic! We were one of the last people to leave the restaurant and, we assume that by making the effort of trying to speak in German, were wished a very warm auf Wiedersehen by all the staff. The staff definitely had warmed to us during the evening. We staggered back to our hotel having enjoyed a wonderful last evening on our business trip.We both thoroughly recommend this restaurant, which also has a separate guesthouse with about 8 rooms. We will definitely be returning. The restaurant is a great alternative from those in Karslruhe itself. It is easy to get to this restaurant from Karlsruhe by tram (S5 line)."

"before our visit the extraordinary service of the villa hammerschmiede was shown. we were alerted to the fact that the way to the hotel was difficult to get through by a full lockout on the route and you better get to the next carbahn exit. The hotel is wonderfully located in a beautiful park, the restaurant consists of several single stubs and a winter garden, so there is a cozy atmosphere everywhere. the greeting is warm, we were led to our table in winter garden. the personal is always attentive and extremely friendly. we had a four-course menu, before that there were two greetings from the kitchen. first a crispy meatline with red Bete-Marshmallow, beautifully dressed and very tasty. then fresh radishes with a dreamy juicy bauern bread with crispy rim, with beard leash butter. The first floor: live with arabica and kakao on evente and shiso leaves. the deenleber very creamy and by arabica and kakao unanimous taste experience perfectly harmonized with the quilt.Third floor: beard soup and fried gambero rosso. the teller was first served only with the gambero rosso with south wood foam, so you can see what is in the suppe and then pour on the table with the blue soup. very fine beardy taste, not too much or too little.Third floor (main passage): roasted breast of bead with celery puree and over-chosen black truffle. the hull, the skin crispy, the light sweet in the celery puree was neutralized by the taste-intensive black truffle. To finish there was still a wonderful dessert made of rhubarb and creamy beaten Greek yogurt with a mousse made of white chocolate. to order espresso came two mini-macarons that tasted fine after espresso. the menu was accompanied by a wine trip, the respective wee were perfectly selected and perfectly matched to the food. we found that the driver did not have to miss a wine trip, but always got a glass with a small amount of wine served. on the bill this special service did not appear. For us, the relatiw wide trip was quite rewarded. we met a beautiful restaurant in a wonderful environment. the food and the service was perfect and for us it was a fantastic evening. you can only recommend."
