"We came here with (Italian) friends and had a wonderful evening. First of all, we all were served a small pot of mushroom soup on the house as well as bread with a sundried tomato spread. Then the food that followed was excellent: carpaccio of octopus in sesame or the antipasto platter, then cod with gratin and mangold, perfectly cooked or involtini with porcini mushrooms. We were too full to order pudding, so just coffee. Then Francesco, the owner, came by for a chat and a laugh, along with a bottle of mirto digestivo, which we enjoyed immensely. This is not the cheapest Italian in Bonn but the best! We shall be back."

Bonn is a charming city on the Rhine, known for Beethoven's birthplace. Typical dishes include Sauerbraten, Rhenish mussels, and Himmel un Ääd, a mix of mashed potatoes and apples.
