"I’d go 10/5 stars to prove a point if I could. I met the owner Kathy (Cathy? at a Mardi Gras parade and she was beyond AH-MAY-ZUH-HING! I love it when business go above and beyond to show their love for the communities they serve. The food is authentic and phenomenal as she is. I’d recommend the sausage and chicken jambalaya with a side of boudin balls. I tad on the spicy side but perfect for me. My wife and I may have to make the trip back just for the parade and this shoppe next Mardi Gras."

Had the gumbo and pastalaya. Everything was great til I found a piece of plastic wrapper in the bottom of the pastalaya bowl.

"I have finally eaten at all of the fancy steak places I know of. Ruth’s, Sullivans, Buddys (Hammond , Flemings. Ruth’s was slightly more expensive than Flemings, but not by much. I ordered the ribeye at all of them for scientific research purposes. Food wise, Ruth’s has the best steaks, Flemings the best sides, and Buddy’s the best overall (it is by far the cheapest . The table bread was awesome. Steaks were cooked 100% perfectly, which is hard to get because medium means something different everywhere you go. I ordered the ribeye and my girl ordered the New York strip. The ribeye was better than the other three places ribeyes. My girl didn’t care for the New York strip, she said it was very salty. I didn’t notice, but the ribeye was definitely better. The salads were great. I ordered the chopped and my girl the Caesar. Both were great, and the chopped presentation was very unique. The sides were pretty disappointing. We ordered mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and broiled tomato. The tomato must have had sugar on it, it tasted like ketchup. The creamed spinach was bland, and the mashed potatoes tasted homemade (which is good for $3 side, but for a fancy steak place at $10 it needs to be otherworldly . Gave my girl a cheesecake since we were celebrating her birthday. Probably the best cheesecake we have had. Overall a fantastic experience. Our waitress Diamond was excellent and friendly. The water glasses did not get less than half full (or empty? . Bathrooms were immaculate."
