"Secret tip! Looking for a restaurant in Leiwen, which was opened on Saturday in February at noon, I met the wine bar. Reservation with arrival time window was not a problem. When we broke up there, we noticed that there are only about 20 places in the small hospitality, so that we occupied almost the entire restaurant with 8 people. The ambience is wonderfully cozy and cozy, the welcome was warm and humorous. The salad was fresh and tasted very good. We were delighted that this place had opened on Tuesday, as all the others in the area had rest day.

"At the Mosel hike in 2021 we arrived from Leiwen in the evening in Neumagen Dhron. Once again we had decided with a winemaker for the night. But we couldn't eat here, we already knew. So we had already kept our eyes open on the way to the square that the place offered to return on a Monday evening. The path led us along the Marina of Neumagen. The Brasserie Käpt'n Cook is located directly on this, and it was opened in the afternoon. In front of the terrace there was a sign that there were spring whites with onion cake. We were at the destination as planned and had not found lunch on the hiking trail. So we looked at and decided to ask for a table for us and then take a little snack. The location of the terrace was already stylish with views of the Moselle and the Marina. A table was quickly found for us and after the vaccination test by app and registration by Luca we took place. The service accepted our order, for each of us a piece of onion cake with a glass of spring white. September 2021, we liked to use the umbrella as protection, a beautiful late summer day went to the end. The feather white was still quite sweet and little fermented, as everywhere the reading on the moss was not really started, which could only be very fresh. The onion cake was well tasted and could be happy. We looked at and agreed spontaneously, even if we look into the menu, we ask for a table for the evening. They're welcome to go outside, so the plan was. The lady from the service answered the question positively and so the dinner problem has already been solved. Relaxed we went to the place in our neighborhood and we made ourselves happy for the evening. We still had a little time and slowly back to the brasserie (two winemakers were visited and it was tasty). A bit too early we stood back in front of the terrace and after that we saw again, we got the table from the afternoon so that the view from the terrace remained the same. The map is to be seen on the HP (if my update of my entry here becomes effective), and because the weather was so beautiful, there was a summer sun terrace wine from a local winemaker. He was also elected because he was the only white wine that was older than a year. And in principle we are simply frustrating the white wines of most Moselwinzers classified as dry. With this white red we hoped less. This was also adequately fulfilled by this wine, which was allowed to remain. At the appetizer fish for my wife and vegetarian ordered for me because I couldn't imagine anything! High-format photo! and My wife had ordered Lachstatar on wild salad with red onions, capers, mushrooms from the offer of the map. a classic act from the salmon. It was nice to flick yourself. The Tatar was only primed with salt and pepper, the rest came to Gusto. What meant that the mushrooms were brewed... but the rest of my wife liked. I said I couldn't imagine what's being served. And was surprised when a mortar came to the table, guacamole with cheddar cheese, with red onions, peppers, corn, cherry tomatoes, lemon with fresh flat. Do it yourself! The kitchen pulled the mortar to the table to the customer. I don't know what Flit is until today. That's what the bread was called. Okay, I went to work. And the muse that came out really tasted good. A nice cold appetizer. So far we have not had to regret our choice from the afternoon. To the main course my wife stayed with fish, she ordered herself from the map Fried Forelle with middle ridges with fresh herbs, roast potatoes and salad click! High-format photo! Some unusual roasted potatoes were added to the classic roasted trout. My wife was happy with the fish, he tasted her well. I cost the unfurnished potatoes that could really please. There was an additional salad for the fish. Even the salad was delicious and fresh, after my wife. I ordered a little rustic one of 100% Black Angust beef meat with crispy salad, Cheddar cheese, ruffle onions, tomatoes, cucumbers crispy bacon, homemade grill and frits. The card extract describes it very well. Above is a baked onion ring and Greek bacon that would have worked in. But I fed separately, I always eat burgers open. After this burger I was really tired, Dessert no longer went. The purely feminine service troupe came from Poland and made her job professional and friendly despite full terrace and neatly filled interior. There was no reason for criticism. All guests were always in sight and there were no problems in the evening. Conclusion of this dinner, actually this is not the kind of restaurant my wife and I like to return. The card has something too much of everything, and the kitchen can make it impossible to refresh everything, here it is necessary to grab the persuasion hall. But in this context and striving you can offer right food. We would come back if we were in Newmagen Dhron."

"Review from 11.09.2014 After a nice motorcycle tour, first via the Hunsrückhöhenstraße and then on the L148 by Büdlicherbrück, a beautifully curved road for two wheels, I reached Trittenheim at 12 o'clock. The winery “Seminarshof” is centrally located at the intersection of L148 on the wine road in the former, venerable administrative building of Trier Seminary. The building is top in shot, all in stylish and competent maintenance condition. Outside, two shaded beer gardens, one at the corner, and one behind the winery, invite you to stay one. No one sat outside and I was worried about whether it worked with the field service, I was looking for the interior of the guest room. If you enter the winery through the main entrance, you will first come to a small entrance where the wines of the good are presented in all kinds of gift variants. Then come to the guest room, which unfortunately does not continue the original outer charm of the building. The simple expedient device on cold tile floor acts sober and little creepy. You stay here for dinner, the feeling of wellbeing doesn't come up. Service I was kindly greeted and could choose a table. There was no place for food and drinks. There were 2 operators who came to the tables attentively after the smallest gesture. Drinking like food came pretty fast. Food The small map offers a manageable selection of regional dishes. I quickly chose the Mosel-Zwiebel soup with beef and cheese at 4.50 € and the wine beef with roast potatoes and salad at 8.50 €. Rating The soup falls, there is still plenty of air up. She simply tasted fad, so even pepper and salt mills ready on the table could not change anything. There, each wort was missing from sufficiently long smiling meat or vegetable broth, only the wine to round off the “drum water”, a la vintner was tried out. The croutons were completely softened game cube-sized white bread, the cheese did not form a slightly brownish blanket as usual during baking, but cooked too long with the soup in too hot oven. Partially dissolved, partially lumped, he grabbed rubber on the palate. The fact that the soup is boiled with the cheese is easy to see at the edge of the dish. The main course was then acceptable. The wine beef, probably from the landmetzger, with beautiful solid gelatine and well seasoned meat content, a super-lecker, but much too small portion of remoulade for diving, as well as the perfectly roasted roasted potatoes matched me again. Only the salad set, though fresh but covered with an absolutely taste-neutral cream dressing, also tasted the overall impression here and I don't go beyond a total kitchen performance of 3 stars. Too bad. I think the kitchen has more to offer. Finally, I chose a mixed ice cream with cream at 3,50 €, the ice was ok, the cream bottle fresh and not from the can. As a companion for dinner I could have ordered one of the Trittenheimer drops, but who would have taken my motorcycle home safely. So I was happy with a mineral water."
