"Just what I was read for. Basic good food and good family atmosphere. The staff were helpful but not overbearing. They tolerated my basic German then smiled and answered in English. The menus was extensive. I went back to basics of Schnitzel with potatoes and...salad. It was good. I just forgot the salad included beats, corn and beans but they chuckled with the ohne dressing. There is a single dressing which is mayonnaise based. They even brought me ketchup for my potatoes. It was a large serving-too much for dessert which I missed. If you need a place to eat it spend the night. I highly recommend it. The family takes pride in the facility"

"Aufgrund der vorherigen Beiträge hingefahren, liegt am Weg zum Bahnhof Empel-Rees, bot sich daher geradezu an, und stimme den vorherigen Beurteilungen voll und ganz zu. Konnte bei dem tollen Wetter draußen im Schatten sitzen und den vertrauten Umgang mit lauter Stammkunden erleben. Das Mittagsgericht schmeckte, das alkoholfreie Weizen sowieso, die Lage war für mich nahezu ideal. Größe der Wiederholungsgefahr: sehr gerne."

"the balkanstübchen has been in rees for a long time. it is located just outside the city, but because it is not very large, it is also easy to walk. there are only 4 tables in the inner ones that they might have to wait a bit if they want to eat in the place. outside there are also sitting in summer. the pommes fries taste very good, the size could be a little bigger, my opinion. there are many other dishes that actually all taste good, I would say I didn't eat through all sorts, but all I had tasted so far. the price-performance ratio is in order. the service was always friendly. a visit is worth it."
