"We went there without a reservation and just got the last table. We ordered a local wine (OK), Wiener schnitzel (excellent) and pork medallions (excellent). We both also ordered potato salad and fried onions (again both excellent). The presentation was outstanding.The greeting was friendly and we were immediately recognised as British, spoken to in English and given an English menu, although the specials were only in German which our host translated for us.The atmosphere inside is of a traditional Bavarian restaurant (a very busy one!) and remember it only opens at 5pm and is closed on a Monday.We will return for one of the best meals we've had for a while."

"We usually search our restaurants with open table. Now the restaurant Esslust was the only one in Oberstaufen. We were a little sceptical first. However, that was the right decision. A great menu and excellent wines made us curious. Service and especially the food were really excellent. Absolute recommendation."

"I am not a great fan of sending places in general, but that was a pleasant surprise. Actually, when I and my friends came to the place, we were not sure if it was a caffe or a restaurant. but when we asked for food, the waitress was. pleasant and spoke English, even about the menu for us. Two of us had the burger and the other two had the fish. everything was quite delicious and I would give the burger a b as an American who loves a good burger. the atmosphere was beautiful and we enjoyed a nice evening outside on the terrace. this place is new, beautiful and has a great selection of weeps, but it is bayern, so there are always bier."

"Gerade die kleine Karte zum Mittagessen mit Vorspeise und Dessert oder Espresso zum günstigen Preis ist ideal. Besonders das knusprige Gyros ist empfehlenswert. Natürlich kann man auch aus der normalen Karte wählen, die für jeden Geschmack etwas bereithält und nicht zu unübersichtlich ist. Kleine Änderungen werden problemlos von der Küche akzeptiert. Service ist sehr aufmerksam und nett. Natürlich sind die Geschmäcker verschieden. Trotzdem finde ich einige Bewertungen meines Erachtens respektlos, aber es gibt ja Gäste, die werden immer etwas zu meckern haben.Am besten selbst mal ausprobieren und genießen"

"ordered pizza pasta via phone for take away the food was ready in with no probelm the pizze were good and quite large we had a margarita and a salami the pasta (gnocci) was not impressive the cheese had quite a.. interesting' texture the Pizza Regina was good the Pizza Salami only had few slices of salami on it. pretty average the whole experiance"

"As an appetizer, I was served an excellent sepia tube filled with Chinese vegetables and rice. - very tasty!The Chef presented variety of beefs available: likel T-bone steak , American bison, local Allgäu beef, and Kobe dry-aged. I chose the Kobe. Priced at 59€, which sounded reasonable.The presentation of the main dish was excellent, accompanied with a "Vital Salad" (my choice). The Kobe was outstanding, tender and deliciously from beginning to end. Wow! Would not have that expected here.The Chef checked in multiple times and brought an special self-prepared relish made out of special home-made jam, pepper, tossed Havanna cigars and coffee beans - very, very good!!Accompanied with an excellent Italian dry red wine this was an amazing experience!! The total bill was 70 bucks plus service which was just very reasonable. Thanks - will come again!"
