"Took a day trip to Schaffhausen; we had plans to eat at another restaurant that had been highly recommended by friends....but by the time I arrived at 2pm they were no longer serving lunch. So....I quickly checked TripAdvisor for a suggestion. Brauerei Falken was nearby...and had good reviews, so off we went. We had fondue and drinks. The fondue was great, but at 24 euros a head, overpriced. So be warned. The restaurant offered a smoke filled room option on the ground floor bar room or a nonsmoking option upstairs in a more fancy setting. We opted for old bar + smoke. As none of us smoke, probably a bad choice as the room reminded me of an '90s UK pub. So, we made the best of it, enjoyed the company, great beer and outstanding fondue. Would I recommend it? I guess, but know what you are getting....smokey, touristy bar with really good, but expensive food."
