"We’ve been here a few times and really enjoyed it. The food is excellent, the drinks are good, and the ambience is unmatched. However, we did unfortunately have a negative experience recently that tarnished my view. We came one Sunday to watch the sunset from the bar. The bar seating is first come first serve, so we were excited when there was one table open when we showed up. We grabbed our seats and got settled in. Minutes later, a waitress came to kick us out…turns out another customer wanted our seat and lied to the waitress and said she and her husband were sitting there, but they weren’t (we saw the other customer standing maybe a few feet away from the chair, but she never sat down, never placed anything on the table, never told us they were sitting there when we sat down…just watched from a distance). We were never asked for our side of the story, we were just simply asked to move by said waitress. When we had nowhere to sit and were awkwardly standing in the middle of the walkway, I did pull the same waitress aside and told her we were sitting there first, had nowhere to sit now, etc. The waitress told us she “didn’t want to be caught in the middle,” and then told us “not to worry” because the other tables would be “getting up any minute now.” The other tables didn’t get up until approximately 45 minutes later, and by then we had missed the entire sunset. In retrospect, we should have asked for a manager immediately when we were unjustly asked to move. I also regret that the restaurant did not do anything to make it right for us. I’m disappointed because I previously really enjoyed this place. Now, I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back. Unfortunately we did not get the waitresses name, and can only identify her as a young, possibly Filipina woman (not that race has any bearing on this, I just don’t know how to differentiate her from her colleagues without this description)."
