"A good restaurant but vastly too expensive without it being justified. The beef was actually pretty subpar in both cooking and sauce. The raviolis were indeed good but the price of the truffles was outrageous. The other starters were just decent but at that price level I expect a bit more."

"Addendum, long overdue: Even as an occasional guest, you can almost feel at home here. Wonderful! It may be unoriginal to enjoy the sliced meat here but it's worth it! Excellently prepared, delicately seasoned, the rösti is also excellent. The reheating of the second portion over the small gas rechaud was nice to see; experienced and careful, yet completely unaffected. In general, the friendly, natural staff with their unobtrusive manner were always there at the right moment, really perfect and extremely pleasant. We really liked the Zurich Rosé, as did the Gazpacho Andaluz. Overall, one of the most well rounded dining experiences of all time. The only thing that first time visitors need to get used to is the narrow entrance, which could be mistaken for a side entrance. But then..."

"I do most often visit the bar at central 1 when I am in zurich and have to wait for a train connection, simply because a) the staff is always very friendly and professional and b) the location is very, well, central. I do however personally not love the decor and the choice of live music, but those are both matters of taste and different for every individual."

"I had the opportunity to eat at Da Michelangelo and try the Rimini pizza. I have to say the food was fantastic! The pizza was freshly made and had a perfect balance of cheese, sauce and toppings. It was one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great too. It was cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and stylish furnishings. The service was friendly and attentive and I felt very comfortable during my stay. Overall, I had a great experience at Da Michelangelo and I plan to return soon. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food and a great atmosphere."

"Fondue Chinoise im Restaurant ist eigentlich ein Risiko. Viel kann schief gehen. Das Fleisch viel zu dünn geschnitten oder sogar gefroren, die Saucen nicht selbstgemacht, die Bouillon zu fade...und so weiter. Schön, dass es im Walliser Keller genau nicht so ist. Super Fleischqualität, nicht gefroren und dicker geschnitten als üblich, aber so zart, dass es trotzdem ganz rasch die gewünschte Garstufe erreicht, alle Saucen hausgemacht, gut abgeschmeckte Bouillon, heisse Pommes und genug von Allem. Toll! Für Fondue Chinoise Liebhaber die erste Adresse! Zudem und in diesen Zeiten ebenso wichtig das Schutzkonzept wird ohne wenn und aber umgesetzt. Man fühlt sich sicher zwischen mobilen Plexiglaswänden und kann sein Dinner unbesorgt geniessen."

"The food was really nice and fairly priced. But it was soooo noicy. Never experienced anything like that. It is pretty small inside and since there is almost no decorations to break the noise it was barely possible to have a chat with my friend. After dinner we were so exhausted. Also the waiter never came back to ask for desert or coffee after he took our empty plates."

"Diese Bäckerei verkauft frisch fröhlich weiterhin den Dubler ab, was ja schon an sich für mich nicht mehr geht (weil man dadurch diesen rassistischen Dubler weiterhin 'schützt ' ihn aber als schoko Kopf anzuschreiben in der Front, also auf der Bedienungstheke finde ich nicht nur daneben, sondern höchst rassistisch. Auf meine schriftliche Bitte hin, kam leider eine typische hoch privilegierte Antwort zurück, es sei ja nicht rassistisch gemeint . Tja liebe Bäckerei Buchmann, eigentlich sollte es ja heute inzwischen auch dank vieler guter Literatur möglich sein, sich über strukturellen Rassismus zu informieren und weiterzubilden. Sehr sehr schade. Schade um den Schaffhauserplatz und das Quartier."

"What a shame, what a shame.... I had to delete my 5 star review from 5 years ago and make a new one now.... : The Rosalys was always my place to go I was always happy with the service and everything about it but after Corona the Rosalys changed a lot which I heard from many and now I was able to experience it myself on the phone : When I called and wanted to reserve for 9p or maybe 10p, I was told that that wasn 't possible because from 10p there was a menu with a minimum consumption. 9p works but 10 doesn 't work?! When I spoke to the manager it only got worse. I 've always noticed how absolutely NO ONE there is interested in their job and all the employees have an I don 't care attitude and walk around with a fake smile. In any case, the manager then told me that it was what it was, he even said “Take it or Leave it”!! Sorry, but that 's not the way to behave with paying customers, isn 't that how you serve?! We are all ex military and would have left a huge amount of money at Rosalys because we wanted a double seating from 6 p.m. to open end and that was denied, so we would have had to book the wine cellar for a double seating with a minimum consumption from 1,800. had my reservation been accepted as I would have liked, we would have spent much more than 1,800 Fr. just a shame. Then the manager said he didn 't have time to talk to me on the phone! hahah sorry that you don 't have to accept reservations from wealthy customers! Rating: Arrogant staff Bad management Bad service inflexible in the reservation process +Food +Ambiance +Location"

"As all of the Hiltl restaurants, this one too is not disappointing. The food (vegetarian only) is generally great, and there is a wide selection of drinks. This Hiltl, moreover, has a specially cosy atmosphere as it is located in a small space near the rooftop. It is possible to sit outside on a terrace, but I haven't tried it as it was quite cold."

"Excellent quality at a very competitive price. It 's a real Japanese restaurant, not the usual fake Chinese all you can eat . The place is not very large but still welcoming and easily accessible. The menu is very rich in gastronomic options, well presented and with good quality ingredients. The staff is friendly, also speaks English, and is very efficient. The open kitchen. The parking is not very easy to find as it is on a main road. Definitely coming back. Highly recommended."

"The food was perfect. The lunch menu is varied and very affordable. It is fairly crowded during the noon, so make a reservation. Most employees were really friendly, only our waitress probably didn't have the best day and was super confused with gluten-free options (although we made a reservation that it is needed for 1 person). Otherwise it was a really good experience."

"My favorite bar in all of ZH! The food is great! Seasonal, fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly, polite, humorous and accommodating! The drinks are awesome. With a wide selection of spirits, mocktails and cocktails. I always commute from SE to ZH by public transport, mostly just so I can end my day with Simplon. Can only recommend the restaurant/bar!"
