"a challenge to visit a nearby small town and stop in a small restaurant or caffe for a meal and we ran over this place on a Saturday night at 5:30 o'clock there were enough cars on the parking lot to let us know that we had chosen a good place. we went in and chose our place at a high summit near the bar with a TV head. caden came and stood in immediately, brought two menus and asked if we knew what we want to drink. he pointed to the beer menu and explained what was on the hahn. we went with a ruthie and a tangerine wheat, both were craft beers on hahn. the menu had many gourmet berry options, sandwiches and pizzas and salads along with some seafood options and appetizers. we started with the cheese cures that were so good! They were hot, slightly baked white curls and were perfectly melted when they served a bite with ranch. we had decided to make burger their own options are fabulous! my man went this route with typical toppings, the Swiss cheese and mushrooms. I went all with the barnyard burger 1/2 lb bark meat with brisket, tweezers, cheese, bbq and one egg. we were both with pommes. the fries were just the one we sown them and crispy live! the burgers were melted in mouth amazing! the barnyard was loaded and I had cut it to fit better into my bite. both were hot and so good! our server caden was fantastic check on us and everything we needed, knife, more ketchup, ranch. the atmosphere is very friendly to home, small town pub and there are tvs playing with sport. definitiw found a great place and the cost were in tune with what would be expected for the big eating a breakfast menu too, so they may have to hold back and try it! but will be dinner again with friends!"

"I love Mexican food. This wasn't my favorite. I went in hoping to order chili rellenos. They have a 4 page menu but those weren't on it. I also like spicy food. On the first page only one item at one star spicy. I only found a couple 3 stars and 2 stars. I ended up ordering the 1 star and it was slightly spicy. In other words my friends who don't like spicy food would be fine with it. The refried beans that came with my meal were very bland. We waited forever to get our check and finally went to the register and our server then came running. The atmosphere was good and good was acceptable. I won't go back."

"Quant small restaurant. The ambience is very much what you expect when you think of the small town of Iowa. Our service was very well given how short staff they were (poor girl was everywhere in the square). The food was very pleasant and at a good price. I ate and recommend the Ruben."
