"Gallo Nero takes part in the Tour de Menu campaign in Dusseldorf which currently runs. The participating restaurants create a menu and offer 3 5 course menus for a special price. My friend recommended Gallo Nero but warned me that he had read reviews that the staff was not always how shall I put it quick off the mark. I cannot say anything bad about the food but I can say that it was not an inspiration but above run off the mill cooking. There were long gaps between the courses and it can in handy that we started the evening early. All in all the company was great, the food was average and a little on the pricey side. Would I recommend it? Probably not for the Tour de Menu campaign but mayb...

Great wine, knowledegable and super service minded waitor, superb starters, fantastic main courses and the dessert... Top notch and a faboulous evening. Completely and utterly awestruck. Really nice!

The restaurant is located on a peaceful side street allowing guests to sit outside. It serves Italian creations and it has a well price-calculated lunch menu. The pasta dish I had for lunch was more pasta with minced meat than the stew with pasta it was intended to be.
