"I loved the hotel, the stay and also the overall environment in the restaurant. The beer was fantastic and for someone who is not a beer person, I enjoyed drinking it. However the food was not the best I had and it could have been my choice of food but all in all I was kind of disappointed ... That being said, the music, cheerful personality of guests and service did make it a lovely experience that will make me return again and try other food. I had ordered the cheese pasta and onions that si served with side salad. The plating was very interesting and appealing to the eye so I did end up eating well. I also tried the pretzel that was also nothing special."

The food is great again! We had Rouladen and Hackbraten as well as Schnitzel and soup. Everything and everyone was happy. The beer is always good so I'm happy to come back. The new kitchen staff know their business! Thank you

Their home brewed beer is really nice and I recommend coming for if just for the beer. But their food was also really nice, although the portions are slightly on the large side I can eat a lot and not even I could finish my meal... We went next door for ice cream after though, so not sure about their desserts.

Einen schönen Tag im Vogelsberg haben wir in der Traube mit einem Abendessen ausklingen lassen. 90% war ok, aber die Suppe war extrem salzig und damit nach einhelliger Meinung mehrerer Verkoster nicht essbar. Nach unserem dezenten Hinweis an das freundliche Personal, erhielten wir kurze Zeit später ein Feedback aus der Küche, dass die Suppe in Ordnung sei. Naja - in dem Falle ließ sich allerdings über Geschmack nicht streiten... . Wir hatten zumindest erwartet, dass uns die unverzehrte Suppe aufgrund unseres Hinweises nicht in Rechnung gestellt wird. Das ist leider nicht erfolgt - sehr Schade.
