I enjoy spicy food, but even I found the meat excessively hot. It seems unnecessary to use so much pepper in a pork dish without any warning on the menu. The restaurant, now called 'LP on Main,' used to be 'Louisiana Purchase,' which was our favorite spot in Banner Elk for many years. It had the food and atmosphere we loved, especially for excellent Cajun/Creole cuisine. Sadly, the new LP on Main doesn't offer any Cajun/Creole dishes, which is quite disappointing. Absolutely fantastic! Everything from beginning to end was delightful. The wine was wonderful, the service was outstanding, and the food was EXCELLENT. I can't wait to go back!

What a fantastic restaurant! We sat on the deck and enjoyed the best bison burger, complemented by excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend this outstanding dining experience!

While the waiter was helpful in highlighting the items I could have, my options were quite limited. My partner wanted to leave because of this, but I convinced him to stay and give it a try. I'm glad we did because the food was absolutely delicious. However, I don’t think we’ll return because of their strict no substitutions policy, which essentially means you can only eat things exactly as they are served. It’s quite an unusual approach.
