"We ordered a tandoori chicken because we wanted to share entrees. On the menu, it said WHOLE chicken and when they brought it out, there were only 5 pieces... so automatically we KNEW this was not a whole... when I asked the waitress, she lied and said it was written on the menu as half. I asked her for the menu and she saw that it said whole and so she went and spoke to her manager... then she came to us and said We only write whole chicken but we actually only give half and THEN the manager came out with a sarcastic attitude and said I’m really sorry... so we said can we have the other half of the chicken because we are sharing entrees and this is NOT enough. He said no. I said can we pay...

"The food was very good; the main waiter was very kind but his 2 other waitresses made a few mistakes. The menu on OpenTable is different than what they gave us- price-wise and food-wise. Lastly, there was a very loud family behind us and it was so distracting. It seemed like an off night."

"First of all, it is important to note that this is a takeout restaurant, so there is no dining atmosphere. I have been ordering takeout from this place for years and have always had good results. The key to getting good food from any Chinese takeout place is knowing which dishes are their specialty. It might involve some trial and error, but you can always ask the chef or cashier for their favorite dishes to try. I highly recommend the General Tso's Chicken and the Garlic Chicken, which come with a variety of vegetables and delicious flavors. The Egg Rolls are also tasty and crunchy. The Shrimp Fried Rice and Lo Mein are good choices as well. If you're looking for something really spicy, go for the Singapore Mei Fun - it packs a lot of heat! The service is typical for a takeout place, but the staff is friendly enough. They work long hours and are open even on most holidays, indicating that it is likely a family-run business. I am a big supporter of these independent, non-franchised businesses, as they seem to be disappearing. Overall, I give this place a thumbs up for their delicious food and convenient hours of operation."

"Salvatore, Anna, and the excellent team at Salvatore's of Elmont created an enjoyable and memorable night for our party of 40 people. The outdoor seating was comfortable and accommodating. The food was served piping hot, which I appreciate, and was delicious; there was a lot more than we could finish and we took home dishes for lunch tomorrow.
