"It is a Victorian house so there are a lot of small rooms to sit. There was a large group of people in our room and were quite loud because they were trying to talk over a large table, we asked to be seated in another place, but were told they weren't seating in the other rooms. We had several people wait on us, and we asked several times for water and never received it. We also had to ask another waitress to find our waitress to get our check. The sandwiches were very good, but we spent way more time there than we hoped. It did, however, seem to be a favorite place for families to get together to eat and talk."

Oh my! How is it that we’ve never been here before? Wanted a light lunch and we were going to Mast so we stopped in because Over Yonder is across the street. It was a gorgeous day to sit on the porch of this lovely historic home. My husband got a wonderful broccoli and mushroom soup and I loved my veggie plate. Made me want to come right back and sample everything. Check out the view of the lovely mountains from the porch.

EXCELLENT!! So good, I visited twice during my short stay in Boone. I ordered off the specials menu... the Plants Roots with trout added on, butter beans, wild yeast sourdough with sage butter, crispy okra and Pig Pickin' cake for dessert! I SAVORED EVERY BITE!!! So filling, and the cake was HEAVENLY. So moist, light, fluffy, flavorful and delicious without being too sweet. The only item I wasn't thrilled with was the trout, but everything else more than made up for it.

I kind of expected a more traditional country restaurant just because of the name and the area. I 'm glad it wasn 't. I guess I 'd call it eclectic country. Food was fabulous. Frog legs, burgers, okra, salad, soup and on and on, it was all soo good. It 's gonna cost a bit more, but you 're getting everything from just over yonder . The workers were very attentive and informative. I regret not going to the bathrooms. My group said they were awesome. The rest of the place is well decorated and it 's awesome to see such an old building transformed and given life.
